This too is medicine. I don't just prescribe herbs in bottles - I offer people the chance to reconnect to health through nature. That includes myself!

So last Friday, I self-prescribed a wild spa afternoon at with a dear friend. I have watched as my brother Laurie and his wife Thea have crafted this magical little spot. Whether in icy winter or the full burst of spring, it's a pretty special prescription to share with the other wild souls.

Through extremes of hot and cold (cue shriek and splash), we swam with tadpoles, talked endlessly under scudding clouds and immersed in stillness. We forgot the outside world.

We are about to turn into May - the month of lush spring!

SPRINGTIME HERBAL WORKSHOP: FRIDAY 24th APRIL

Join me, the plants and the birds for a day of exploring the medicinal plants of the season.

If you would like to build your confidence in working with the healing gifts of herbs - this is the day for you!

Creative and sensory explorations, herb walks, knowledge sharing and medicine making - all set in a beautiful walled garden and hosted by me, a qualified medical herbalist with the help of herbal allies.

10-2.30pm, Friday 24th April

Seasons at the Secret Garden is a hands on extended workshop - herb walks, tea tastings and medicine making all set in the beautiful Secret Garden in Ciliau Aeron. We follow the seasons and Spring is time for tonics and green shoots!
