Dear families, friends and relatives,
As we approach Christmas and New Year we have planned parties and events for everyone to attend. Many homes and the community are experiencing an increased number of flu. Could I ask if you are unwell or have fever, cough , sore throat or congestion - please do not visit the home. Also visitors are reminded to follow infection control guidance for hand washing. In case of an outbreak we will introduce strict infection control measures which might involve wearing a face mask, named visiting etc. as we would like to keep everyone safe. Staff at Maryfield is wishing everyone a very happy Christmas and New Year ☃️✨🎉

💛 Kindness in Action 💛
We are incredibly proud of our care team today for the compassion and kindness they showed . They were out with some of our residents when they witnessed an elderly lady who had fallen and badly hurting herself. Michelle, Ryan and Matthew responded calmly and quickly offering support and reassurance and took the lady to the hospital instead of leaving her to wait two hours for ambulance. They wanted to make sure the lady is safe and seen to as quick as possible. Moments like these truly reflect the heart of our home and the values our team lives by every day. We are deeply proud of our staff for the humanity they show every single day. This is what care looks like. This is what makes our home special. 💐🌼🌟
