Snowy weather right now…
Keep in touch via your teacher whether your class is running this week guys. Some teachers who can walk to the studio safely are running classes while teachers out of town might have to cancel. It won’t last too long, hopefully everything will be running like clockwork again soon.

Hope everyone’s staying cosy folks ♥️
The studio is open for classes as usual, but each teacher will determine whether they run their class or not in this wintery weather. If unsure drop your teacher a wee message.
The studio is pretty cosy with the new heating, but the back wall with the arched windows is letting in some cold cause of the single glazing. There’s nothing more I can do to insulate the damn place, so I’m on the hunt for heavy dark green velvet curtains if anyone has any leads 😂🙏🏻 That might have to come before the new yoga mats, apologies folks!

We’re so excited to welcome Kerryn to the studio! She’s a long timer at Breathing Space Studio and we’re absolutely buzzing that she’s going to bring a Sunday morning Pilates class to the space ♥️
You can join her for some taster sessions in January, Sunday the 11th and 18th. With her weekly sessions commencing 8th February onwards.
Here’s a little about about her classes:
“Strengthen your deep inner core muscles, improve your posture, and move with intention through a low-impact mat-based Pilates class. Bringing the original Method and 6 Pilates Principles to focus through simple but effective movements. Learn a deeper understand of your breath, spine and posture to coordinate your body, mind and spirit. Leave the class feeling better than when you started.“

A week and a half off has left me with a lot to catch up on team, so bear with me as I tentatively tip toe out of holiday and fill you in on all the exciting happenings coming up in the studio over the next few days.

Festive Opening 🎄🔒
We’re going to close the studio for Christmas team, so there’s no classes, events or studio access over the festive period.
Last classes of 2025 is on Tuesday 23rd, with classes re starting for 2026 on Saturday 3rd January - yoga with me (Laura) and a Pilates event with

You guys are amazing! In 4-hours we made £300 for through raffle sales 🥹♥️ incredible!!
Thanks so much to everyone who came down to the Festive Market and bought a raffle, and a huge thanks to the wonderful sellers, teachers and locals who all chipped in with such fantastic prizes… it actually made me pretty emotional looking through everything on Friday. So much love 🫶🏻
It means we also have another £300 to go towards new mats for the studio! Yay! New mats cost £1,300 so let me get my tax return in, and as soon as I have the extra £1000 in the bank I’ll get those mats ordered for the studio 🙌🏼♥️

We’ve got some exciting additions to the timetable this year, will think of a better way to share all the news shortly but for now:
We welcome who is starting a 0930 yoga class on Wednesdays, so you can get your daytime practice in with Libby or with .mollison on a Friday.
wilson.x is starting a late evening vinyasa class on Mondays at 1930 for you evening owls ♥️
Tuesday evenings are now all about Pilates! With a double fix of Jenna .scotland doing her usual 1800 class, and Emily .pilates.club starting a new late evening class at 1915.
Want to relax? Join us for Midweek Mindfulness on Wednesdays as Cally and Rachael share the late evening slot week about with their offerings of sound journeys and relaxation hypnosis.
This weekend from is hosting a nourishing day workshop on Saturday called Time For Self ✨ Drop Care a message to book in.
I’ve more to come from Krystal .quine who is planning some some new offerings, and I’m going to be starting a Saturday morning beginners yoga class in February. More details coming soon!

Join Laura for a 40-min vinyasa flow to create space, leading into restorative yoga with Indian head massage. We’ll come together for tea and a divination ritual, before Angela Sage and Remedy lead's you through a nurturing guided reiki meditation.

We’re moving in together…

Kirsty from Second Home Studio + Cafe and Laura from Breathing Space Studio are very excited to share that their wee cafe and studio are on the move to 1 Gaelic Lane, just off Belmont Street, right in the heart of Aberdeen!
We can’t wait to welcome you into the new space later in the year. It really is the most perfect space for our two businesses to grow, thrive and create more wonderfulness for the city!
In the meantime though we are gonna need all the help we can get with this one, as the ground floor cafe and the first floor studio are so much bigger than the current spaces. So tomorrow we’re launching a wee Crowd Funder campaign to generate some extra pennies to help us with the transition… You know, help pay for extra cups and saucers, bolsters and blankets.
So stay tuned, and we'll share more details when we can! We’re so excited!!!

If you don’t know me already, I’m Laura. I’m a recently qualified yoga teacher, completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in the summer of 2020. I began my career in fitness back in 2016 when I became a group exercise instructor, working in various gyms across Aberdeen teaching Les Mills Bodycombat, Bodypump, then a little later Bodybalance. I also gained a Level 3 certificate in Sports Massage at the end of 2017, which I feel has given me a good base knowledge of the body and how it functions.
After various injuries from the repetitiveness of my daily group exercise classes, I discovered a love of yoga; enjoying the deep stretch, the graceful strength building, but most of all the playful poses and quirky transitions. During lockdown I have been lucky enough to practice yoga almost daily, and feel I’ve learnt a great deal from these online classes. They’ve allowed me to take inspiration and gain knowledge from so many brilliant teachers.
You’ll enjoy a fun, flowing vinyasa practice with me, always with the Vinyasa Kramer element of working step by step towards a goal, or a pose. I personally love a bit of repetition during a practice, so enjoy structuring this into my own classes to allow students to find confidence in a sequence of poses, giving them the chance to pick up the pace then explore and play with their asanas. I’d very much like to think you’d leave one of my classes feeling uplifted, a little stronger, and a little sweaty!
Please, please, please - Don’t be afraid to give me a shout if you have any questions! If you’re new to yoga you are welcome, if you don’t know me you are welcome... We’re just about having some stretch, strength and fun on the mat. And maybe learning a little to boost our mental wellbeing along the way.
