My perfect breakfast ✨️

I had a child free morning today so enjoyed the slowness of it all. Did my morning movement practice (basically rolling around on the floor and doing lots of stretches 😅). I played music that makes me feel in flow and encourages my body to slowly wake up. Now for a lovely breakfast.

I usually have to wait until I've got my daugher to school before I can do my practice so I relish my 1 morning a week where I can go at my own pace.

I had a wonderful evening with a friend to celebrate the Full Moon in Capricorn last night.

We had deep and frank conversations about where we are holding ourselves back and what limiting beliefs we wish to let go of.

We celebrated our achievements over the last 6 months.

We journalled, we talked and we ate good food.

I went to bed feeling fully nourished physically, emotionally and spiritually. Best of all I could see the moon rising as I lay in bed at night ✨️

The moon cycles are a powerful tool for self development and reflection. Each month as she moves through the different star signs and elements is an invitation to connect and reflect on different aspects of yourself and your life.

The Rising Rose Collective is launching in September. A space for women to connect to themselves and make their wellbeing a priority. I will be providing weekly support and group coaching calls. I have ran many online coaching spaces before and one thing I can tell you is that when women come together amazing things happen ✨️

I forgot to add that I almost wasn't allowed to enter Turkey 🙃

I got stopped at Bristol airport because my passport didn't have enough days on it! It was one of those utter heart sinking moments 💔 but then a wonderful person did some research and found out I could pay for a temporary visa on arrival in Turkey. I was told it would be £80-£150.

I felt pretty anxious the entire flight but I was allowed on the plane! This is where my self care practices came in handy. I was able to stay calm and keep a positive mindset ✨️

I then had to pay £200 for a temporary visa on arrival. Thats £200 for 4 days 🫠

Note to self - ALWAYS CHECK THE PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS BEFORE BOOKING A HOLIDAY 😅

On route to Newport today to renew my passport, I'm fast tracking it as going to France in August and don't want to risk there being any issues!

Another lovely text from a client after her session yesterday. She is going through alot in life at present and this is the amazing thing about what Holistic Therapy can do.

Yes I treat your body, we reduce pain and tension by using massage. But the impact on my clients emotional wellbeing is just as important as the massage work.

I recently went on holiday to Turkey.

No children, just me and a dear friend. Another single mum in need of a break. No schedule, just time off.

We swam in the sea, we saw wild turtles, we ate delicious food and drank amazing turkish coffee. We had our fortunes read in the coffee and I met a turkish crystal miner. I brought an amazing piece of quartz from him which was found locally. He showed me a video of him collecting it from the mountains that surrounded us. Feels lovely to bring some of that turkish magic home ✨️

I read 'The Let Them Theory' by Mel Robbins. What a great book to set you free. I'd definitely recommend it ❤️

Going on holiday without your kids doesn’t make you a bad mum — it makes you human. Taking time to rest, breathe, and reconnect with yourself is not selfish. It’s necessary.

Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also blur the edges of who you are beyond the role. A solo trip or a getaway with friends or a partner is a chance to recharge, laugh freely, and remember the version of you that exists outside of packing snacks, routines, and bedtime stories.

You come back not only refreshed, but more present, more balanced — a better version of yourself for your family.

A wonderful text from a client after her massage yesterday 😍

The tools I have given her are to help reduce stress and feel more grounded. I offer more than just massage. I am a Holistic Therapist which means looking at your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self. Holistic means 'whole' so along with a beautiful massage I provide my clients with guidance on self care tools they can use outside of their regular massage sessions.

Its an honour to do this work with women and support them to rise 🌹🌙

Life can sometimes feel heavy. Our minds can be filled with a thousand thoughts at once. We can be stuck in stories about our life that really don't serve us.

Coming for a massage treatment with me is always more than just a massage. Its space and time for you to put down whatever you're carrying emotionally. Massage and Energy Work allow you to get quiet, slow down and come into the now in a peaceful and gentle way.

The past - You may feel guilt, shame, regret about past decisions. Often when you are not happy in the present, you can use the past to build up evidence for what you did wrong to get you here. You may blame yourself and feel bad.

The present - Day to day life may be overwhelming. You feel overworked and underappreciated. There's constant chatter in your head and no time for you. You struggle to feel content and stop worrying about the past or future.

The future - You may be living in fear that things won't work out. Stuck worrying about your future, your children, spouse or anyone else you care for. You may think "I'll be happy when I lose the weight/have a bigger house/get a new job etc". These thoughts and worries take you away from being happy and content in the now. They take you away from appreciating what you have.

✨️ It doesn't come easy! ✨️

l'm all ready for my morning yoga practice. You may think these things come easy for me as someone working in the wellbeing world.

Let me tell you it doesn't! Some days I really, really don't want to. My mind gets in the way with thoughts like:

"I'm too tired"
"I don't have time"
"I can't be bothered"
"Is there something good to watch on netflix?" 🤣

Some days I am raring to go but other days I have to push through the resistance. The more you push through that resistance, the more these things become part of your life. Whether that's yoga, the gym, drinking more water, meditation, journalling or making better food choices.

As humans our minds want to keep us safe.
Our mind wants to do whats familiar and will come up with all kinds of excuses to not do the thing! Get curious about what comes up for you and try telling yourself something different:

"This will give me more energy"
"I am making time for myself"
"My self care is important to me and makes me feel good"
"I can watch netflix tonight without feeling guilty that I put off my self care today"

Its a cliché but you do always feel better afterwards! You will feel proud of yourself and that good feeling can last all day.
