September felt like a lot — full, busy, and happy times too but A LOT. My parents were away for a month so my usual childcare support was gone, I was juggling looking after the dog, my daughter, back to school, the house, my counselling course and my business. Wow feels exhausting just writing that! It also marked a year since my daughters fathers death. He passed away last September and its been a tough year.

I beat burnout by choosing to pause, step back, listen to my body and gave myself permission to go slowly. As a holistic coach and massage therapist, I always remind the women I work with that self care isn't a luxury, its a necessity. So this month I've been practicing what I preach, slowing down, recharging and coming back to myself. I've basically been my own coach this last month and it's been exactly what I needed 😌

Now with more energy and clarity I'm excited to open up space to those curious about coaching with me!

🍂✨ There’s something magical about autumn. I absolutely love this time of year. The changing season, being able to wear my favourite jumpers again, knowing that Halloween and bonfire night are on the horizon, oh and my 40th birthday woop woop😍

I also love that back-to-school energy that makes everything feel like a fresh start. I just love it.

Starting the morning with intention ✨

There’s nothing like stepping outside, breathing fresh air, and soaking in nature’s energy. My walks with Jess (my four-legged best friend 🐾) always bring me back to the simple joys in life. This dog is so happy to be alive it's infectious 😅

Lately, I’ve been diving into "The Gift of Therapy" by Irvin D. Yalom, which feels so meaningful as I continue my studies in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. Every page sparks reflection and deepens my passion for the work I’m growing into.

This morning rhythm sets me up perfectly before an afternoon with my massage clients. Feeling grounded, grateful, and excited for all the good that’s unfolding. 🌿💆‍♀️💫

Got caught in an intense summer shower with the dog today 😅

Feels so good to be home with a herbal tea. My favourite is a Ginger Pukka tea with added honey and fresh ginger grated into it. I'm warding off a sore throat so its really helping 🧡

Ramping up the cosy vibes with fairy lights and my oil burner. I made a blend of Womens Balance, Juniper, Frankincense and Clary Sage. Super cosy and nurturing for my daughter and I ✨️

This is self care in action. These simple extra steps to make your space and therefore your mind feel more relaxed make such a difference. We're snuggled up now watching KPop Demon Hunters for the 3rd time this week, my 7 year olds latest obsession 😅

This summer I gave myself permission to step away from my phone — and it was exactly what I needed. 🌿☀️

Instead of scrolling, I spent slow mornings with my daughter, soaking in sunshine, laughing ourselves silly and doing my best to be fully present. These nourishing moments reminded me why rest is such an important part of true wellbeing.

As a holistic therapist, massage practitioner, energy worker, and psychotherapeutic counselling student, I give so much of myself to others. Taking this time away allowed me to refill my own cup, so I can return renewed, grounded, and ready to serve from a place of balance and joy. And this is exactly what I help my clients with too — creating sustainable self-care practices that restore their energy and reconnect them to themselves.

Now, with September almost here, I feel excited for what’s ahead — fresh energy, deeper focus, and new opportunities to support women in creating space for themselves too.

Even as a Holistic Coach, I have to remind myself to pause, reconnect, and truly practice what I teach. While in France last week with my daughter and my parents I took some time out for me. I sat on the beach alone, closed my eyes, and let the rhythm of the waves guide me into stillness. It was such a simple moment, but it felt like medicine ✨

Self-care isn’t always about big retreats or long rituals — it’s made up of the small choices we make throughout the day. Pausing to breathe. Moving our body with intention. Saying no when we mean no. Choosing rest without guilt. These are the moments that build real wellbeing.

So often, life gets busy and we push our own needs aside. But the truth is: caring for yourself is what allows you to show up fully — for your work, your relationships, your family and your own dreams.

I know how easy it is for busy women to put themselves last — I’ve done it too. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping women create self-care practices that feel natural, sustainable, and deeply nourishing. Because when we connect back to ourselves, everything else in life flows differently.

Spent the morning on my mat.

I love to use guided meditations. Today I listened to one for cultivating peace within in a world that feels volatile, uncertain, chaotic and ambiguous.

My heart is hurting with all that is going on in the world. What's going on in Gaza has no words. Feeling heartbreak over Gaza — or any place where suffering and injustice unfold — is deeply human. It's grief. It's empathy. It's love.
But it can also feel overwhelming, paralyzing, or numb.

Meditation doesn’t make the pain go away — it gives it a place to breathe.
It allows you to sit with the ache, to honor the sorrow, and to reconnect with your sense of humanity without being drowned by it.

In a world where we can’t always act immediately, meditation grounds us.
It helps us move from helplessness to clarity, from despair to compassion-driven presence.

Whether you're praying, breathing, or simply sitting in silence —
That space you create inside yourself matters. It’s where your heartbreak becomes fuel for care, for resilience, for solidarity.
