Who is behind 'Aberystwyth Foot Health'?
My name is Anja Funke and I qualified as a Foot Health Practitioner in 2019. I've worked in various care/health roles for the last 20yrs - mainly caring for the elderly and people with learning disabilities. I got to a stage where I needed a job, that would allow me better hours to work around my little animal sanctuary. So I decided to take the plunge and go self employed. Having seen over many years how much feet get neglected by people I decided to study to be able to help people take better care of their feet. It's been a massive learning curve over the years...about feet...about how to run my own business and all other things. It's great fun seeing many regular patients, who have been with me for many years. As well as one-off patients. I am grateful. A challenging and rewarding job. In the future I will hopefully have my own clinic set up at home within the next 2-3years. As well as continue to provide home visits to the community.
