We will be starting the show by paying our heartfelt tribute to the much loved Talha Rashid who was a senior stop smoking practitioner at Smokefree Lancashire and recently passed away. Over the past 10 years leading upto the blessed month of Ramadan, we would hear from Talha Rashid about the âQuit Smoking in Ramadanâ campaign, where he would encourage the listeners to stop their smoking habit by providing advice and support in his unique way. He was a true believer and a passionate individual. He will be missed by all the radio team.
Joining us for the first part of the radio show will be Lisa Halliday who is a Stop Smoking Advisor at Smoke Free Lancashire. She has been working in the stop smoking services for over two decades and specialises in workplace interventions.
Smoke Free Lancashire is a dedicated service that offers face-to-face consultations, telephone support and workplace groups for anyone wanting to quit smoking within Lancashire. They service is provided in the evenings and on weekends to ensure that interventions can be delivered at times that work the general population. They also want to ensure that the service is committed to support the health and happiness of all service users by empowering them to make their Smoke Free journey a success.
Our guest Lisa Halliday will be discussing how to prepare to give up smoking this Ramadan.
