The first time I heard a PT say “AMRAP”…

I genuinely thought they wanted me to rap 🎤🙈

And honestly? It left me feeling a bit silly, like I didn’t belong in the fitness space because I didn’t understand the lingo.

But here’s what I realised: it’s not you that’s the problem it’s the jargon that gets chucked around when you’re just trying to move your body.

Once you actually know what these terms mean (without all the fluff), workouts suddenly feel clear, simple, and a whole lot less intimidating.

That’s exactly why I strip back the jargon and keep things simple (and human) in my sessions, so you can focus on moving your body, not memorising acronyms.

Do you stretch every day and still feel stiff and tired?

Then you’re probably not holding your stretches long enough.

I didn’t realise until I trained in the science of stretching that holding your stretches for 20-30 seconds doesn’t give your body or nervous system the time it needs to let go and release its hold.

Or in more scientific terms, it doesn’t give your body the time to move into the parasympathetic nervous system (your rest & digest state).

It’s why people continue to feel tight despite stretching regularly.

That’s why when I was creating my offers, I knew I needed to create a “stretch” option.

He’d been in pain for months.

Nothing was working. He even refused physio — he just couldn’t face it.

So his wife booked him in with me. He walked in sceptical… and 4 weeks later, walked out pain-free.

We loosened his legs, worked *with* his body, and gave him the kind of release that finally let him move freely again.

Here’s the thing: assisted stretch isn’t about being bendy. It’s about giving your body the chance to reset, release tension, and feel in control again.

Most people stretch for 30 seconds and wonder why they still feel tight 😳

But honestly I wish more people knew that if you want your body to actually release tension and move better, the way you stretch matters.

In my 1:1 coaching and rehab work, we’ll often hold stretches for 2–5 minutes.
In assisted stretch, it’s more hands-on — I guide your body deeper than you’d go on your own, often holding each position for 30–45 seconds and repeating where needed.

No rushing, no bouncing. It’s calm. It’s focused.

Because real flexibility isn’t about pushing harder, it’s about helping your body feel safe enough to let go.

You lie down, I guide the stretch, and your body finally gets the reset it’s been begging you for.

I’ve always been someone who loves to move 🤸🏻‍♀️

Not in a “smash the gym every day” way, just in a living fully kind of way.

Horse riding. Rugby. Aerial. Surfing. Mountain biking. Running. If it got me out the house and into my body, I was in.

But there was a time, not that long ago, where that version of me felt far away.

I was stuck in a job that didn’t fit. My mental health was struggling. And I started experiencing muscle spasms so painful they’d stop me in my tracks. Literally.

I went to physios, specialists, massage therapists. I did the stretches, the exercises, all the “right” things. Nothing stuck.

It wasn’t until a consultant asked me, “Are you stressed?” that it finally clicked.

The pain wasn’t just physical. It was my body asking for help. I realised I didn’t just need to fix a symptom. I needed to rebuild my whole relationship with movement (and with myself).

So I started slow.

🌿 I moved because it felt good, not because I was supposed to.
🌿 I got the support I needed.
🌿 I gave myself permission to let go of anything that wasn’t helping me feel like me again.

That’s what led me here. To retraining in sports massage, then assisted stretch, then personal training and finally to setting up my own little studio space from home.

So I could create a service that wasn’t about “transformations” or before-and-afters, but about helping real people feel better in their bodies, move with ease again, and not have to figure it all out alone.

I used to think feeling stiff, sore and run-down was just part of modern life.

Sit too long, sleep a bit funny, do a workout and then ache for days.

She wasn’t trying to bounce back.

At 5.5 months postpartum, she came to me feeling disconnected from her body. She just wanted to feel like herself again.

Not broken. Not “unfit.” Just… unsure where to start.

No gym. No diets. No punishing workouts. Just gentle, progressive strength work. Tailored to her body. With someone in her corner, cheering her on the whole time.

2 months in, here’s what shifted:

✨ 4kg down
✨ 9cm off her hips
✨ Doubled her push-ups (from 7 to 20 full reps!)
✨ Her clothes fit better
✨ She told me she feels stronger. Healthier. More herself.

But the biggest win in my opinion?
…was this comment she made: “I finally feel like me again.”
