Bowel cancer awareness 💙

If you notice any changes in your bowel habits or have symptoms that don’t feel right, it’s important to speak to your GP. You can ask about an at‑home test, which is simple and can help decide if further checks are needed.

Not everyone experiences the same symptoms of bowel cancer. Some people may have only one symptom, others may notice changes at different times — and that’s okay. Even one symptom is enough to get checked.

💬 If something doesn’t feel normal for you, don’t ignore it and don’t delay. Early checks can make a real difference.

Important information about steroid medications

If you take steroid medication every day and long term, it’s essential that you carry a steroid card with you at all times.

A steroid card tells healthcare professionals that your medication must not be stopped suddenly. This information can be life‑saving if you become seriously unwell or unconscious and are unable to explain your medical needs yourself.

Carrying a steroid card is a simple but important step to help keep you safe, support your independence, and ensure you receive the right care when you need it most.

If you are unsure whether you should have a steroid card, please speak to your GP, pharmacist, or a member of our team for advice.

You can print a copy of the card here:
