🚀Grids for All Levels with Nicki Bates!🚀

Come and join us for a fun and positive gridwork session with Nicki Bates at Team Bates, Barnham on Saturday 8th November!

These sessions are designed to help you and your horse build confidence, improve rhythm and balance, and have a great time in a supportive environment.

About Nicki:

Nicki is a passionate and encouraging coach who competes up to CSI2* and Grand Prix level. She loves helping riders get the very best out of themselves and their horses, and you’re guaranteed to come away smiling and learning something new.

Who is it for? 🤔

All levels welcome from poles on the ground upwards. Groups are kept small with just three riders so everyone gets plenty of attention.

Join us on Saturday 1st November for a fantastic XC schooling morning at Petworth, coached by the brilliant Simon Luck.

A great confidence building session to get you and your horse jumping boldly and positively across country.

Showjumpers Wanted! 🐴💙

We’re putting together teams for the Team Showjumping event at Hascombe Equestrian Centre on Saturday 16th November, and we need YOU! 🙌

If you’d like to represent West Sussex Riding Club and have a fun day out with a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

Classes are available for a range of levels from 60cm upto 1m it’s a great chance to get involved, meet fellow members, and enjoy a brilliant day of jumping! 💫

We are looking for team members to compete for our riding club at the BRC Area 11 & 13 TopSpec Arena Eventing Qualifier.

📍 Venue: Brendon Stud, Haresdean Lane, Brighton, BN45 7EG

📅 Date: Saturday 25th October 2025

🏆 Championships: Aston Le Walls, Northamptonshire – May 2026

Classes:

Class 1a – 70cm Junior Team & Individuals

Class 1b – 70cm Senior Team & Individuals

We’re so excited to be heading back to Hickstead for a fun filled weekend camp!

Whether you love to jump or prefer flatwork, there will be something for everyone.

🍴 Delicious food will be provided by the Hickstead Polo Bar, so you can just focus on enjoying time with your horse and friends.

A £50 deposit secures your spot (refundable with a vet/doctor’s note before 22nd Feb 2026). The balance is due by 22nd Feb, and instalments are welcome if that helps.

We know plans can change if you have to cancel after this date, we’ll do our best to fill your space, but we can’t guarantee a refund as the venue and instructors will be booked.

A huge well done to our fabulous team! 💙🐴

Congratulations to Suzi Rishworth, Lucy De La Fuente and Amy Newton who represented us at the Riding Club National Eventing Championships at Swalcliffe last weekend!

Everyone truly stepped up to the mark! It was a tough course with a big atmosphere, but the horses gave their all and we couldn’t be more proud of them. 🌟

We had fantastic results across all three phases, and every single rider should be incredibly proud of what they achieved.

A massive thank you to our amazing helpers and supporters Toni, Mark, Alex, Darren and Eva for their constant encouragement, hard work, and good vibes all weekend. We absolutely couldn’t have done it without you. 🙌💕
