Joyful Ponies offers a range of services using miniature Shetland ponies, miniature American ponies and pygmy goats, including animal assisted therapy visits which can be to schools, nurseries child minders or care homes. Inspired by an amazing little pony called Joy that made everyone smile! Joyful Ponies are fully insured and licensed. Animal assisted activities can offer a variety of benefits to both children and adults. The smaller sized ponies & pygmy’s can be less intimidating and seem more approachable. Spending tine with the ponies & pygmy’s is naturally relaxing and can reduce stress, anxiety levels and blood pressure. It can also stimulate the senses and encourage the release of endorphins and positive brain chemicals like serotonin which helps to keep us happy and calm. Grooming the ponies & pygmy’s alone can increase hand dexterity, joint mobility and improve muscle strength, balance and coordination while encouraging people to communicate and talk to the ponies.
