Forcing yourself to feel right doesn't work long term.
Forcing yourself into a situation that makes you feel emotional dysregulated isn't healthy.
It's ok not to be ok. Its ok to ask for support.

Yin Yoga for relaxation and stress relief. Time to take action.

✨️Try these simple Yin Yoga poses to help with relaxation. Calm your breathing into a natural rhythm, breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
✨️Try to hold each pose for 1 minute. Working towards 2 minutes over time as you feel more comfortable.
Settle into each pose to your own ability and respect your body.
✨️Try this calming routine in the morning for a calm start to the day. And in the evening as part of your bedtime routine for a better quility sleep.

A little technique to help shift unhelpful thought patterns, refresh and refocus.

✨️Take a deep breath in... and as you exhale, simply allow your mind and body to relax, taking a moment to settle.......You might begin to notice that there is some part of your body that feels a little tense, or perhaps you are aware of a sounds around you, but all this is going to do is help you to relax more deeply........ Each thought, feeling or maybe a sound is simply a sign that you are becoming more comfortable and relaxed.
Now, I wonder if you begin to to notice how you begin to shift your focus... your mind drifts from that sound... away from the thoughts...and you focus on your breathing..... Just noticing the raise and fall of your chest, your breath flowing in... and out.....And as you breathe out, you release any tension. You can choose to shift your focus even further.....perhaps to the feeling of your hands, the temperature of the skin or perhaps a slight tingling...... and may you feel each muscle in your body begin to relax even more as each muscle softens.
And you might find that your mind relaxes too. shifting its focus to a pleasant memory... a place where you feel completely safe and relaxed......With every breath in..... and out, you are learning to shift your focus away from tension, and allowing yourself to drift into a deeper state of relaxation... letting go of the tension.... relaxing more and more.
Now take a moment, has you notice a shift in your focus to the silence... the comfortable, quiet space within you... That’s right... completely relaxed....calm, safe and secure.....a few moments to refreash and reset.....a few moments just for you.... continue for a few moments more, one more deep breath in... and out and allow the release of any tension that maybe left, and allow the relaxed, calm, safe feeling surround you, and move with you always when you take that deep breath in.....and out.

Learning to shift your focus away from tension and stress can build up resilience, and help to regulate emotions, and change unhelpful patterns.

May is mental health awareness month.

Mental Health Awareness Month is about the focus of reducing stigma about mental health and promoting well-being.
The theme is "Take Action".

So this May I'm going to take action....I'm going to make some helpful posts for relaxation, Shifting focus, and reducing stress.

I'm also going to offer half price sessions throughout May.
( sessions must be booked and paid for in May. Session can be taken in May /June).
And I always offer a free 20 minute consultation.

Focus Thursday: Mental Health Matters

Why hypnotherapy?
I have had hypnotherapy treatment myself, many years ago, it helped me to reset and refocus after trauma and grief. Since then I have used hypnotherapy to help with my fear of flying, heights and spiders.
Hypnotherapy gives you real lasting change, a new perspective.

Because of this i decided to become a trained hypnotherapist to help others to become the best version of themselves, to overcome trauma, adversity and become more resilient, confident and comfortable with themselves.
I have enjoyed seeing huge shifts in clients emotional regulation, huge changes in mindset of how they persieve themselves and the world around them.
A change in perspective really can change your life.

Stress can build in us slowly and quietly, shaped and reinforced over time by thoughts, and behaviour patterns.
Stress is natural, but when it becomes tense and overwhelming. When it is constant. Then we can become stuck in survival mode.
