What struck me today is how often we have a choice.
A choice to stay present… or to disconnect.

TV, drama, outside noise, they’re always there.

I lay all the food out.

Day 17: A Heart for the Missing Bonds 🤍

I just watched this and it really hit my heart 🖤
Seeing fathers reunited with sons they haven’t seen for years is deeply emotional.

It reminds me how many people grow up without that bond 🫶🏻
with a father, a mother, or a sense of emotional safety.

This is why emotional fitness matters so much.
Because what isn’t felt doesn’t disappear, it shapes how we attach, cope, and show up in life.

Sometimes healing isn’t about pushing forward…
it’s about allowing ourselves to feel, heal, and reconnect 🫶🏻 first with ourselves.

On the 16th Day of Christmas 🤶 my gift to you 👉🏼plant a seed 🌱 in your 🧠

🧠Exercise: The Antidepressant 🦾

This morning I woke up and honestly… I couldn’t be bothered.

No motivation. No buzz. Just that heavy feeling of “nah, not today.”

So I started with a cold shower, not because I wanted to, but because I know it helps charge my batteries and wake up my nervous system.

Even then, the voice was still there:
“You don’t need to go to the gym.”

That’s where discipline stepped in not motivation.

I went anyway.

At first? Still couldn’t be bothered.
Then I started moving.
Then my heart and brain started connecting.
Then the pain turned into endorphins.
Then the wires fully connected.

Two hours later… I’m flying.
Clear head. Lifted mood.
🔥Energy back online.🔥

This is why I call exercise the antidepressant.
Not because it’s easy.
But because it works, every single time.

On the 15th Day of Christmas 🎅

I give to you…

💥 The Energy Slam
(aka: the “keeps-you-out-of-jail” technique 😅)

This is an energy transformation technique for releasing frustration, anger, stress, and built-up emotion.

How to do it 👇
• Grab a slam ball
• Inhale as you lift
• Exhale powerfully as you slam
• Visualise slamming out the emotions, thoughts, or energy that no longer serve you

No slam ball?
➡️ Do bodyweight squats
➡️ Strong exhale at the bottom
➡️ Same release. Same effect.

This practice breaks the mental, emotional loop, brings you back into your body, and reconnects you to your heart ❤️

👉 Feel your heart
👉 Actually feel the love again

This is mental, emotional, and physical fitness in one simple movement.

Move the body.

From loneliness → to connection
From isolation → to belonging
From disconnection → to coming home to yourself

Loneliness can feel especially heavy at this time of year.

So just for a few minutes…
switch the TV off,
put the wine down,
and give this moment to yourself.

You’ve had everyone else’s back
for as long as you’ve been on this planet.
Now it’s time to have your own.

Give yourself permission to show up for you.
Come back into your body.
Come back to your heart.

Think of everything you’ve been through
the struggles,
the hurt,
the times you were worn down or mistreated.

And now…
think about everything you’ve overcome
as one single person.

That takes strength.
That takes courage.

You are amazing.
You are special.
You deserve love, safety, and care,
especially from yourself.

Tonight, give yourself the same love
you so freely give to others 🤍

just like the body needs food, the mind needs nutrition too.
The thoughts we feed ourselves become our language, our identity, programming our habits,
and eventually the quality of our life.

When we choose thoughts that support us, uplift us and believe in us
we begin creating a new story. ✍️
A healthier one. A stronger one. A coming home to self.

To your heart ❤️
To your body 🧠
To your power.

Exercise isn’t only about physical fitness.
It’s mental fitness, emotional fitness, and nutritional fitness 🦾🧠🖤

Every time you show up for yourself, you strengthen more than muscle…
You strengthen your spirit, discipline, confidence and self-worth.
