Yikes!
It's been a long time since I posted here and I have lots to update you on.
๐ธ As we emerge from the covid era I'm focusing much more on my in person therapeutic work at .northumberland where I offer yoga 1:1, massage therapy and retreats.
๐ธ I am still offering some group yoga classes on Zoom and at Shilbottle Community Hall but sadly there just isn't the time to keep pregnancy and postpartum classes on the timetable in a weekly format.
๐ธ Instead I'm focusing more on supporting women one on one with pregnancy yoga, relaxation, meditation and massage therapy. I have been doing this work since 2004 (18 years!) so feel very confident in supporting those of you with higher risk pregnancies, pregnancy after loss, postpartum complications and those who just appreciate a bit more personal attention.
๐ธ I will also continue to offer a small group workshop once a month on Sundays for pregnant women to meet each other and to access a little of the special, peaceful vibe we create over at .northumberland.
๐ธ We have beautiful accommodation available for these workshops so women from further afield are very welcome to attend and make a weekend retreat of it.
๐ธ For those who attend pregnancy yoga workshops there will be postpartum 'bring your baby' sessions as well. These will focus on the first 3-6 months postpartum and include lots of incredible resting, breathing and nurturing self care practices.
The photos are from the archives and depict my eldest child having his first taste of freshly picked blackberries. Now an early teen this child can make his own crumble and eat it very tidily with a spoon, but I often feel a pang of nostalgia for these purple-faced days.
I suspect many of you following this account may be in the thick of those messy mealtimes and have slightly outgrown the pregnancy/postpartum content I'll be posting here so please do follow .northumberland.
You may well want to escape to somewhere clean and quiet sometime!
