You wear a brave face as you just keep going.

Then you join one of my classes, have a call with me or meet me at a workshop and suddenly the mask slips. Before you know it, the tears are rolling down your cheeks. Not big, messy sobbing. Just the tears of relief. You can have a moment where you don’t need to hold it together. You don’t need to be “fine”. You don’t need to be everyone else’s rock.

That’s often how our relationship starts.

And I totally get it. I remember when someone said “you’re not ok, are you?” and I couldn’t hold it together. I felt seen! That was when I needed to make a change and you can to.

Working with me on a 1-2-1 basis gives you time to explore mindfulness. We go on a journey together and the destination is resilience, presence and a positive outlook.

You know where I am when you’re ready 🤍

Two minutes of calm for anyone who needs it today 🤍

Pop your headphones on, take a breath and allow yourself a moment to pause.

If this helped, save it for later or share it with someone who might need a little calm too.

There’s just ONE place left for the workshop on Saturday and I would love someone to nab it!

Mindful Movement & Meditation

Tonight’s class is all about patience with the body.

Learning to listen rather than push.

We often treat our bodies as something we need to manage or fix.

But I am inviting you to do something different…

To slow down
And actually notice how you feel

A few spaces left if you would like to join us tonight 🤍

Patience doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means allowing things to unfold without forcing them.

That might look like:
– taking one breath before reacting
– noticing frustration instead of acting on it
– allowing yourself to rest without guilt

…or making dandelion syrup! Which took me 24 hours to make but included lots of mindful moments from gathering the flowers in the field to separating the petals from the plant and then waiting over night for the petals to soak.

Small moments… but they make a difference, especially when you pause to notice them.

This is something we practise gently in class each week and I would love you to join us on Wednesday evening at 19:15 at Watson House, Morpeth for Mindful Movement & Meditation.

Do you ever feel like you’re constantly rushing…
even when there’s no real reason to?

Moving from one thing to the next…
already thinking about what’s coming later…
rarely feeling like you’ve actually arrived anywhere.

This is something we explore in mindfulness.

Not by forcing ourselves to slow down…
but by noticing the pace we’re already living at.

And that awareness alone can begin to shift things.

Don’t miss the beautiful moments because you’re rushing through life.

🌿 Join us in class if this resonates 🤍

🌷 May 🌷

This month in my classes, we are exploring patience.

Not the kind where we grit our teeth and wait…
but the kind where we gently step out of the rush.

So many of us move through our days feeling like we’re behind…
like we should be doing more…
or getting somewhere else.

And over time, that becomes exhausting.

This month is an invitation to slow things down.

Not perfectly… just gently.

✨ If you’d like to join us, I have a few spaces in my weekly classes.

Message me for details.

Disclaimer - I still lose patience with my boys when walking up the hill 😂

💤 Sleep 💤

You’re lying there watching the minutes and hours pass, anxiety rising about the fact you’re not falling asleep, tossing and turning. Heart racing as you start to panic about tomorrow.

But then you remember the techniques you learnt in a workshop with me.

And you’re able to slow things down, find some calm and allow yourself to drift off 🤍

We’ve all struggled to sleep before and know how disruptive it can be to our day. There’s many reasons for not being able to sleep and mindfulness can help.

👋🏻 Hello 👋🏻

I’m Aly and I am a mindfulness practitioner 🤍

I support people who feel overwhelmed, mentally busy or disconnected from themselves. I help them to find a sense of calm, clarity and steadiness again.

My approach to mindfulness is gentle and realistic. It’s not about doing things perfectly, it’s about creating small moments of awareness that slowly change how you feel, think and move through your life.

Through 1:1 sessions and guided practices, I offer simple tools to help you slow down, regulate your nervous system and feel more present in your day-to-day.

I’ll be hosting some workshops soon and hold regular classes, for anyone who feels ready to explore this a little more deeply.

Get in touch if you would like to chat 🤍

🚂 OOO

I used to love putting my out-of-office on in my corporate days but now it feels a little different.

My work and my clients feel far more personal and I’ll genuinely miss teaching you this week 🤍

That said, I’m stepping away for something very close to my heart. I sit on the Board of The Mission to Seafarers, a charity that supports the wellbeing of seafarers around the world.

Life at sea can be incredibly isolating and mental health challenges are far more common than many realise. The Mission provides practical, emotional and pastoral support to those who spend months away from home, often under intense pressure. Take a moment to think of the seafarers who are stuck in the Middle East awaiting the opening of the Straits of Hormuz.

In many ways, this work is a natural extension of what I do now. Supporting wellbeing just looks a little different depending on where you are in the world whether that’s on land or at sea.
