And that’s a wrap! I’m now officially on maternity leave!

A huge thank you to all my lovely clients who have been so thoughtful with well-wishes, gifts and adjusting our sessions to make it easier for me to keep working right up to 38 weeks (how did that happen?!) ❤️

Also a huge thank you to the amazing other therapists who are looking after my patients whilst I am away - as you all know, I treat every doggy as if they are my own, so I feel assured they are all in great hands!

It’s a weird feeling to be finishing when I love my job so much. I’m very excited for this next chapter, but I’ll miss you all and look forward to seeing you towards the end of the year!

As always, I have not managed to take many recent photos of all your lovely doggies - why break the habit of a lifetime! But here are a few from the past few months. (P.s. the first photo is from earlier in my pregnancy - I can confirm I do not look like this now 😅) 🐾

Happy graduation to lovely girl Sam! 🎓🐾

Sam had a traumatic injury which resulted in a nasty fracture of her scapula (shoulder blade). After many weeks of strict crate rest and a progressive, bespoke rehab plan, Sam has now been signed off from physio 🎉

I’m delighted to report that Sam is fully back to her bouncy playful self, enjoying long walks, running with her humans and even back to playing (sensibly) with other dogs 🙌

Well done to Sam and her humans!

A very fun first session with the gorgeous Pandora today 😍 featuring the sweetest & cheekiest gatecrasher ever - her feline brother Vera 🤣 🐈

Lovely girl Pandora has started physio to help her build muscle following a traumatic injury in which the tendons in her hind leg were severed. She is an absolute sweetheart and ensured I got all the kisses and cuddles during the session 🥰

The gorgeous Dottie is 15 years young! 🎉🎈✨

This lovely lady recently celebrated her special birthday, not that you would think it..! She is still super spritely, bouncy and LOVES to do zoomies!! 💨

I have been seeing Dottie for several years now after her owner decided to get in contact about general maintenance to support her as she ages. She loves her sessions, especially the exercises - she marches back and forth over the poles before I’ve had a chance to set them up 😅

2025 was the year I took the leap to go full-time with Kayleigh Veterinary Physiotherapy, with a vision of delivering a truly gold standard level of care, attention and continuity from the comfort of your dogs home. I'm so proud of what I’ve built and love where I’m at - maintaining that elusive work-life balance, ensuring I keep that passion for my dream job!

Grateful shoutout to the talented vets, vet nurses, behaviourists, trainers, hydrotherapists, groomers, walkers, chiropractors, and fellow physios who've supported me - teamwork really does make the dream work!

Bring on 2026! It’s going to be a new chapter, but rest assured I'll keep providing the same exceptional care, dedication, and love for my work! 🐾

I had an awesome weekend on a Myofascial Release CPD training, learning lots of new techniques and getting a deeper understanding of all things fascia!

These techniques are gentle yet very powerful and have a far-reaching effect throughout the body. I’m already so impressed with the results (my little Rodney has been a very obliging guinea pig!) and looking forward to incorporating these techniques in practice ✨

Meet Bella 💛 She was referred to me by her fab behaviourist Jade from aboutyourdog to make sure pain wasn’t contributing to her reactive behaviour.

Bella finds vet visits very stressful and wasn’t able to be fully assessed in a veterinary environment. Because my sessions are so relaxed and always taken at the dog’s pace, she was comfortable enough to let me fully assess and treat her in the comfort of her own home.

We found and worked on a few niggles through hands-on sessions and a tailored home exercise plan. Providing a detailed report of my findings with her vet and behaviourist, we were able to make the best treatment plan for Bella and improve her reactivity.

A lovely example of how working together can make such a difference for dogs like Bella 🐾
