Had a beautiful time yesterday, exploring the pocket parks of Bermondsey. This one is St James churchyard park. Look at that huge London plane Tree! The picture was taken from under the boughs of its partner on the other side of the park.

Fig tree in downtown Los Angeles photographed by . She talks of the respite the shade of these trees offers in summer where they offer pockets of coolness and calm near the country court buildings.

Tracey has been part of this journey with trees since the beginning when we followed Sharlyn Hildago’s Celtic tree calendar around the year in 2020 and it upheld us when COVID came. The Soul Shed project came to life and a group of us shared life with the trees in our corners of the world.

Journeying with Fig is my next collaboration with Tracey and others too. I’ll be back soon.
Come and read previous posts about trees imagined as enneagram tritypes on my Substack, in the link in my bio.

I love tritype - the enneagram theory that suggests we have three survival strategies- one each inhead heart and gut. For me it’s a way to really appreciate that often a person has three strategies vying for attention… Im coming to see them like Russian stacking dolls. Sometimes they are nested and coherent. Other times they are all out and doing a clumsy dance!

Last week I had a really interesting conversation with Anna about our differences - she is 684sx I am 648so.

I write about Tritype in correspondence with Tree scapes. This is the piece that came out about Oak.

You can read the piece by hopping over to my substack - the link is in my bio 🌳💚-I would love to know what you make of it and of course if you would like to explore your own patterns, check out my current offerings at the soul shed.

It is mid-January and a mixture of icy clear sunny days, sideways sleeting rain, and bleak fog. The festivals of light are behind us and here in South England it feels more wintery than it did before they lay ahead of us. With this moon I hope to bring you some hope, in the form of another very seasonal tree. I hope to bring you something of the spirit of Holly.

We’ve crossed the threshold into Winter, here in the northern hemisphere. And when orienting towards a tree-scape for this next post in this tritype series, all my inner paths seemed to lead south and east – to the Mediterranean region1 and to its ancient olive groves.

The olive tree is a being of wonder. Read the post on my substack - link in bio

From our walk today which was a conversation between Oak and Willow.

A brilliant photograph without AI intervention just camera weirdness! - Roz bursting out of her skin as spirit of Oak and Tania appearing mesmerised and slightly startled as spirit of Wilow!

And actual willow and Oak in the field at Holt Pound.

same actual oak in both pics!
