Know how to assert your rights! 👏

It's and we want you to know how to assert your rights as an unpaid carer.

While it is helpful to know our rights and how the law protects us as carers, it may feel quite daunting to assert ourselves if we feel our rights are being ignored.
It is a process that takes confidence, energy and help.

Here is are the 6 steps to take action and restore our rights, so that we, those we care for and others in our family are better supported and protected 👇

Read more about qualifying as an unpaid carer, what your rights are and what benefits you may be entitled to claiming by visiting our website 👉 https://rb.gy/d5phv

Many unpaid carers feel isolated and alone, contributing to stress.

Supporting someone else can affect your mental health and make it harder to stay well. Although you may truly want to care for them, you may also find it difficult and upsetting.

When caring for someone else, you might experience challenges and difficult feelings such as:

💚 stress and worry
💚 anxiety
💚 isolation and loneliness
💚 lack of sleep
💚 guilt, frustration and anger
💚 low self esteem

Seeking help is often the first step towards getting well and staying well. But sometimes it can be hard to know how to start or where you can turn to.

We're here for you.

Our Hampshire-wide carer support service provides advice, information and support to all carers aged 18 and above who care for an adult.

If you need somewhere to turn, not only do we provide a service for carers but you may find our other services, such as wellbeing, beneficial.

If this speaks to you, speak to us 💙

Professional care workers week 2023 is a celebration of care workers and the essential work they do, created to promote awareness and raise the profile of care workers in the UK.

Even though we support unpaid carers, here at Andover Mind, it is important we still provide you with as many resources as possible.

The Care Workers' Charity will be hosting a programme of panels and information sessions which will be delivered by care workers and care managers alongside some of the biggest names in adult social care.

If you are a carer or know someone who works in the sector, this week's timetable will be informative and engaging, focussing on the fundamentals of the care sector.

If you would like to sign up to the online events, please visit 👉 https://rb.gy/i5b0n

For more information on how we can support you, as a carer, please contact Andover Mind.
