I love New Year's Day.. a fresh start and the whole of the year ahead of me.
2026 will inevitably have its ups and downs, but a walk on the beach and a fabulous sunset was the perfect start to 2026!

When things are good, I find joy in the changing seasons and our beautiful countryside. When things are tough, the trees, the light, the water, lift my spirits.

Today I conducted two funeral services... a cremation for a wonderful woman at Loughborough Crematorium and a burial for a fabulous lady at The Natural Burial Company burial ground at Prestwold. This was preceded by a full service at Prestwold Hall.
There are many different ways to say goodbye!

Up and down the country, our sites have been carefully prepared to offer a fitting tribute to those who have fallen in conflict. 🌺

This Sunday, as people pause to reflect, we too remember the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of so many - those who gave everything so that others could live in peace.

We will remember them.

The clocks have gone back and I for one, am not a fan of dark evenings!

I usually work within Leicestershire, but this week one of my services was just over the border at the lovely Heart of England Crematorium in Nuneaton for a fabulous lady who lived life to the full and was a real dancing queen!
