What PDO Mono Threads Are

They are smooth, dissolvable sutures made from polydioxanone (PDO).

Unlike barbed or cog threads, mono threads don’t “hook” into tissue to lift it — instead, they stimulate collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production in the skin.

Over time (about 6–9 months), the thread dissolves naturally, leaving behind a scaffold of new collagen that tightens and rejuvenates the skin.
