People have been asking me if I’ve been keeping colourful during lockdown. I haven’t, I’ve mostly been wearing this.........I joke 😂 I feel it’s important to get dressed. On the days I get dressed I’m more productive and feel better. Now I’m away to watch Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with the Bairn. We have been working our way through them. Do what you got to do to get through it.

Some days are productive, some days aren’t and thats ok.

At first I freaked the f**k out but now I’m seeing it as the ultimate chance to recharge!

Here’s some more from the challenge I’m doing this month. Being creative with my look is my morning ritual to prepare for the day. Being autistic means I need more structure and structure makes me feel safe. Choosing my clothes in the morning brings me so much joy and they are my armour for the day!

You may have noticed me posting outfits on my stories. Well that’s because I’m taking part in Lauren Halsteads 🦄 All you have to do is wear your most cutest, most colourful outfits throughout the whole of March. I pretty much dress like a unicorn threw up on me most days so why not document it!

This is what I’ve worn so far. bear in mine I have to tone it down for work 😂 Also being a working mum I don’t have time to do my makeup most days.

Which outfit do you like the best? 1, 2, 3 or 4?

Pssssst......Most of my clothes are either second hand or from indie businesses!

HELLO! I’m Tracy Henderson, the girl behind Aspidoodles. I started this page as a positive way to express my autistic ways! I have ASD and other disabilities including left hemiplegia (A form of cerebral palsy), osteoarthritis, depression and anxiety disorders. I work part time at a college teaching Art and Design. I am married and I’m a mum.
As you know being a human is hard enough but when you have multiple disabilities it’s even harder. I hope my posts make people feel less alone 💗

MY VIEW TODAY! I have just recently decorated my livingroom and I love it so much! I wanted to go for a 70s inspired look and I think I achieved it.

WINTER FUEL! It has to be Tea! I often forget to drink throughout the day, but when I do tea is my top choice.

Lately I’ve been needing my weekends to recharge as my work has been particularly demanding since I started back (hence why I’ve not posted for what seems like forever!) I was going to give a miss because of this but My little Aspie Doodler Ocean didn’t want to miss it and I couldn’t say no. I’m glad she persuaded me to go! The turnout was easily 100X more than last year and the atmosphere was unreal! It warmed my heart. However it was really really loud and crowded so We are back to the quiet and peacefulness of Hendersonville. Thanks Dundee we had a blast.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR CURRENT OBSESSIONS IN THE COMMENTS!

My new obsession The Curly Girl Method.
Me personally as an autistic I can get easily swept up and get obsessed with something, especially if it has rules and structure to follow. I will research everything about it and waste hours finding out all I can. I will spend my money on it and I will collect all the products. For as long as I am obsessed I will be a fountain of knowledge on the subject. As soon as I move on from my obsession I tend to forget a lot of the information which annoys me.

For those interested the Curly girl method was devised by Lorraine Massey. It is for people who want to go back to their natural curly hair. You don’t shampoo and you can’t use products that have sulphates, silicones, drying alcohols, mineral oils or waxes. Also no heat. It’s very interesting. I’ve been doing it for a month now and my hair is a lot healthier already.

So the rain stayed off long enough to enjoy the Edinburgh colourwalk and it was so nice to catch up with everyone. I almost didn’t make it due to the horrific weather conditions, it was so stressful but I caught up and had a blast. Thank you to the host and of course the kindest human that is

I finally figured out how to post my wee gif! Now this took far longer than it should have and it is rough AF! But I learned a lot doing it and I can’t wait to do more.
