We have made it easy for you with are completely bespoke post natal massage.

60 minutes just for you, working on what you need. Tight shoulders, aching hips, reduced mobility mid-back, or just 60 mins of relaxation.

Massage is suitable after your 6 week check following a virginal birth, and after your 8-12 week check post c-section.

How long do you have to wait for a massage after giving birth?

Like most things in health care there isn’t a set answer for this question.

It depends on what type of birth you had, how you are healing, and how you are and when you are ready.

Massage is safe and incredibly beneficial postpartum. But to make sure your body is ready we need to wait 6 weeks postpartum for a natural birth and 8-12 weeks for a c-section. So once you have seen your GP for your postpartum check you are usually good to go. If you have any signs of infection, you are feeling unwell, or you in pain then I would recommend you see your GP before coming in to see me.

I would love to help your body and mind reset and adjust during this beautifully tiring time.

Any of the treatments I offer can be adjusted for postpartum but a recovery massage is a great place to start.

Sarah first came to me a few months ago, she was juggling life with two small children and a high stress desk based job.

“I am exhausted” were her exact words when I asked her what brought her in to see me. Turns out life, stress, children, and work can take its toll and if you let this load build up it can affect you not only physically but emotionally too.

Sarah had a huge build up of tension in the top of her back and neck, probably not helped by the desk job! This was making siting, sleeping and picking the kids up uncomfortable to say the least. But that wasn’t all, this build up of tension and stress was affecting Sarah emotionally. Worry and anxiety were setting it, she was finding it hard to switch off, and all of this was impacting her sleep.

I started seeing Sarah every two weeks to not only work on releasing the tension but to give her time to reset, to move her mind and nervous system from high alert to a more relaxed calm state.

“I don’t know how you have done it but I have never slept this good.” This was the message I received the morning after her second massage.

And this is why I do what I do. To help people move out of pain, tension, and worry. To help them feel the best they can do.
