As part of our Bosco Ending Violence Against Women & Girls Program , funded by Mourne and Down District Council. The young people took part in a Deescalation and self defence session with Ashleigh from .c.e._taekwondo_ni

🛑 Prevent First - consider personal safety,
😌Deescalate and only then use physical skills. 📳Get to safety. Stay calm.

This was followed by a fantastic motivational talk by World Hyrox Champion .loye who shared lots of wisdom to inspire this fantastic group of young people.

We are delighted to welcome to St Mary's P.S. - Mullaghbawn . Thank you to St Mary's for agreeing to host. Richard will share his own story of forgiveness and how it led him to setting up Children in Crossfire a Charity that works primarily in Ireland with their Educating The Heart Program and also in Ethiopia and Tanzania. Their work is focussed on creating a more fair, just and heart centred world. Tickets are available on our website, link below.

🌀 The Triskele – Ireland’s Ancient Triple Spiral

It’s today so we wanted to give a shout out to a fantastic group of young men from The Bosco Youth Centre that have consistently showed up to all of the sessions from August as part of our Ending Violence Against Women & Girls Program funding by and They have engaged, participated and asked lots of great question. They are keen to be part of a better society that is safer and better for all of us.

Thank you to for purchasing menstrual products from us and making them available free of charge at point of use to all who visit their offices and any of the venues that their programs run in. They join our other local businesses and organisations , Norbrook who are normalising the availability of menstrual products being available free at point of use. Thank you to our product partner who are also a Social Enterprise When these companies choose to purchase from us this support our and the work of Hey Girls making a difference to people and planet.
