Are matchas still a thing? 🍵✨

Had one of my favourite matcha moments in NYC last year and honestly… the vibe was unmatched.

I love them for the calm energy boost, antioxidants, and that slow-release caffeine (no jitters 🙌) BUT let’s be real… a lot of the ones out there are packed with sugar and syrups, so they’re not always the “healthy” option they seem!! 👀

For me it’s definitely more of a treat than a daily habit. 💚

April is the perfect time for a fresh start 🌱✨

It’s always been one of my favourite months…hello Easter treats and birthday celebrations! 🐣🎂💛

As the days get brighter, it’s a great opportunity to refocus on simple, nourishing habits that make you feel your best. Think fresh, seasonal foods, balanced meals, and staying hydrated as we move into warmer days. 💧🥗

Small changes really do add up, so don’t aim for perfect, aim for consistent! 💛

Easter is a time for celebration, connection… and yes, chocolate! 🐣🍫
But enjoying it doesn’t have to mean feeling sluggish or overdoing it. Here are some simple, balanced nutrition tips to support you over the Easter weekend:

✨ Don’t skip meals to “save calories”
This often leads to overeating later. Keep your meals balanced with protein, fibre, and healthy fats to stay satisfied.

🥚 Start your day with protein
Think eggs, Greek yoghurt, or a protein-rich smoothie to help stabilise blood sugar and reduce cravings.

🍽 Build balanced plates
When sitting down for Easter meals, aim for a mix of protein, colourful veg, and whole carbs before reaching for sweets.

🍫 Enjoy chocolate mindfully
Slow down, savour it, and actually taste it. You’ll often feel more satisfied with less.

🚶‍♀️ Keep moving
A gentle walk after meals can support digestion and blood sugar balance.

💧 Stay hydrated
Dehydration can sometimes feel like hunger so keep your fluids up, especially if enjoying richer foods.

🌿 Drop the guilt
One weekend won’t define your health. Balance, not perfection, is what matters most.

Easter baking in full swing! 🐣✨ …yes, we make buns and yes, there’s chocolate in this house! 🍫

Just because I’m a nutritional therapist doesn’t mean we avoid sweet treats - it means we understand them. Food isn’t about guilt, especially at times like Easter. It’s about balance, awareness, and enjoying what’s in front of you! 💛

Of course, if you’re dealing with symptoms, we look deeper but that doesn’t mean life (or chocolate) gets put on hold.

Real life = real food, joy, and a realistic approach to nutrition! 🌿
Eat the bun. Enjoy the chocolate. Be mindful, not restrictive. ✨
