The final sentence describes why orthodox medicine is a big a opposition to health as it is a proponent.

A fruit used in Chinese medicine contains a compound that is very effective against colon cancer, according to a new study. The compound in the plant is called Schisandrin B, and is found in a plant often referred to as five-flavor berry or magnolia berry.

Part 1: Are their any herbalist near me?

First steps finding a practitioner that makes you feel comfortable, before they open their mouths.

First you can find a practitioner online via a search engine like Edge or Google, or you can go to a herbalist professional association such as The National Institute of Medical Herbalists, or The Unified Register of Herbal Practitioners, or The Council of Practitioners of Phytotherapy, but please be aware that their 'find a herbalist' services will only have their paid members on them.

Also, in the last few years many herbalists (like myself) run clinics online via Zoom or Teams, etc, so if you have no local ones, or prefer online for ease, parking, time, etc. You can also find herbalists who will visit you in your own home if local (a service I provide withing about 20 miles of my house near Ashbourne, Derbyshire), again ask if you need or would prefer a home visit.

So, you find a couple of herbalists in your area, but you wonder if there will be incense, crystals, medical certificates, couches, various herbs in different forms, chakra posters, etc within the waiting or consultation rooms.

Well, it depends upon the practitioner, some will have heavenly essential oils wafting around the room, some will look like a Harley Street private doctors rooms, so try and find the one that makes you feel comfortable, however, some practitioners share so you may have someone very orthodox in mind and practice, seeing you next to a large Buddhist statue, or they may have their own spiritual/ personal values shown in decoration that have no baring on their practice.

My advice is to contact them, or visit if its a public practice room or shop, and see how you feel, if you feel uncomfortable, politely leave and check out the next one. Or as stated above ask for a home visit service or check out online consultations.
