I have often said to one of my running clients that in the days following a massage, she would be running like a gazelle.
Whilst this is an over-exaggerated claim, the benefits of massage treatment to athletes (and non-athletes) cannot be underestimated massage treatment helps to stimulate nerve receptors, loosens fascia & muscle tissue and increases blood flow to make weary, heavy or leaden legs feel energised and aid increased performance.
Just don’t pick a race with a Cheetah.

Further to my previous post, I have noticed less and less birdsong outside my clinic window. It turns out that during the summer and particularly August native songbirds have little need to sing as they have bred, hatched and fledged their chicks and have no reason to claim territory or a mate. Also they tend to have a big moult so they are not as fast at evading predators and keeping quiet is a pretty good idea. So with that in mind I’m starting to play some music. Any suggestions greatly received.

The school holidays are just around the corner, which means I have a 6 week break from school runs which in turn means I have increased availability during the day for massage appointments.
