🏆We have joined the Devon Business League in the 2026 Construction Cup 🏃‍♂️🏆

Over the next eight months, we'll be competing with other local businesses whilst raising vital funds for Hospiscare, an incredible local charity that provides free, specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

We attended breakfast at the The Ivy, Exeter this morning and met the team, including Ellie Melmoth from Hospiscare, who hit home the importance of supporting and raising money for this Charity. 🫶

As well as taking on the racetrack at Raceworld Karting (for those of you who haven’t experienced Abbie's driving, the league are in for a treat, and a car crash).🙃

Some of the challenges the team is facing include:

⛰️ Winter Traverse Run (30km, 1,040m elevation)

🏃‍♀️ Taunton Half Marathon

🏃‍♀️ Exeter Marathon

🚴‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Outlaw Triathlon - 70.3 Distance

⛰️ 3 Peaks Challenge

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for our CITB Open Morning with Angus 🫡

Angus talked the group through the changes CITB introduced on 8th December, and answered questions on all things CITB Employer Network, funding, and what it actually means for employers going forward.

We’re proud to have partnered with JHB UK LTD to deliver a wide range of training courses and NVQs.

By working closely together, we supported 45+ members of their team in achieving nationally recognised qualifications, tailored to their operational needs.

Courses delivered included:

NVQs provided:
👷‍♀️ NOCN Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Associated Industrial Services Occupations (Construction) – Water Jetting

It’s great to see JHB investing in their workforce. The team brought a brilliant attitude to the training, which plays a huge part in keeping everyone safe and competent on site.

We have a limited number of spaces on these courses at our South Devon training centre (TQ13 7FF) and our online course (CITB TSTS).

If you are a CITB-registered Company, employer network eligible courses can be booked via CITB, where you only pay 50% of the course cost or the average course cost (CITB SSP courses) 💰

Our EFAW and MHFA courses are in-house certified, and we can guarantee our gentle ginger giant will be in attendance 🥹

Wow!!

What a first year of trading it's been for us here at Hybrid Safety Training, we are 1!

We are so proud of what we have achieved in 12 months, from being nominated for the Micro/Small training organisation of the Year at the EUSR Awards to ensuring over 1,500+ delegates have the skills needed to be safe and site-ready.

We will be taking a well-earned break until Monday, January 5th (but I'm sure Abbie will have one eye on her emails, can’t stop, won’t stop).

A huge, HUGE thank you to everyone who has trusted us to deliver their training and thank you to everyone behind the scenes, from staff, clients, awarding bodies and friends.

We're excited to see what 2026 brings (and what outfits we can put Lexi in, we promise you she loves it)

We’re now taking bookings for the NPORS T001 Instructor Course – the perfect next step for experienced operators looking to train and assess others!

🎯 We don’t do tick-box training. We deliver quality.

Become a confident, competent NPORS-accredited instructor with a course that goes beyond the basics.

📅 Course Dates:

🔹 5-Day Experienced Instructor Course – Starts 1st December 2025

📍 Location: Ashburton, Devon - TQ13 7FF

🎓 Eligibility for the 5-Day Course:

You can attend the shorter 5-day experienced course if you already hold an instructional techniques qualification, such as:

•⁠ ⁠RTITB, AITT, ITSSAR, IPAF, ALLMI, Lantra
•⁠ ⁠MOD Instructional Qualifications
•⁠ ⁠Cert Ed, PTLLS, CTLLS, DILLS
•⁠ ⁠Level 3–5 Education & Training Qualifications

✅ Health & Safety Qualification Required

While a recognised H&S qualification is recommended for all instructors, it is mandatory for those delivering safety-critical categories (e.g. confined spaces, crane ops, construction-related).

Accepted qualifications include:
•⁠ ⁠NPORS Construction Site Safety Manager
•⁠ ⁠NEBOSH (General or Construction Certificate)
•⁠ ⁠CITB SMSTS / Managing & Coordinating Plant
•⁠ ⁠IOSH Managing Safely**
•⁠ ⁠NEBOSH Award in H&S**
•⁠ ⁠NVQ/SVQ Level 3+ in H&S

So this happened! 😅

We were a finalist at the Energy & Utility Skills Awards this week for Training Provision of the Year (Micro/Small Training Organisations) within our 1st year of trading 🥹

A huge thanks to Energy & Utility Skills for a great evening and for opening a category to recognise the small but mighty training providers out there doing their bit to raise and drive standards and keep people safe! 💪🏼

We didn’t win this time (well done to Hills Safety and Training Services Limited 👏), but just being in a category alongside some incredible providers felt like a win in itself!

Everyone at Hybrid Safety Training should be so proud of themselves. We all share the same ethics and values within the industry and care about making a positive change.

We may be a small team, but that night demonstrates the impact we are making 💪
