! 7 Years !
Seven years of at Fitness Republic gym and the time has flown. A lot has happened in that time, as many of my regulars will know.
Of course there are treatments and rehabilitation and helping people achieve their goals…that’s why I set this clinic up…but when people come in for treatment we chat, we laugh, we sing and we share stories of our lives and we help each other through.
Being part of 7 years of people’s lives and being supported by along the way has been the best.
Thank you to everyone who has taken part and been there.

! Feet Locked Up? !
It’s easy to lose the full mobility of your feet and ankles and find your heels, arches, calf muscles and Achilles tendons straining under the increased load.
Strengthen and stretch those muscles, tendons and soft tissues all you like but without the architecture of your feet manipulated and restored, there’s a strong chance you’ll keep on suffering.
If your feet are looking a little flat, bring them in for a therapeutic retrial before they’re sentenced to life limp-risonment!

! What Rachel Said !withrachel came in today to have her ankle and neck assessed….amazingly caused by the same problem.
Symptoms may be far apart but the cause is often the same.
Come and get assessed if you have any pains or symptoms that you want to improve!

! Straighten Up !
Low back pain can feel like it’s on the left, on the right or somewhere in the middle. The asymmetrical movement patterns we all produce can manifest themselves in something like this, a 17 degree list to the left which can be responsible for any of those symptoms.
Pins and needles, leg pain and numbness can all follow of the condition worsens.
Physiotherapy can often correct your alignment and symptoms in one treatment!.
Exercises and training are a must in keeping the body moving as well as possible to prevent recurrence but it’s all possible!!!
Book yourself in if you have back pain and give yourself a chance of improvement!

Before you rush in to your new exercise regimen, book yourself a 7 point body check to have your ankles, knees, hips, low back, upper back, neck and shoulders assessed for mobility and strength.
This will highlight any movement deficits in the body that can cause early injuries in your 2025 fitness program.
Full body mobility mixed with a more directed training program will help to reduce your risk of injury for the rest of the year.

We have introduced 30 minute buffers between appointments to avoid any unnecessary social contact and to provide time to sanitise any treatment and contact surfaces in the clinic space.

Strict had hygiene will be adhered to at all times and patients will be provided with facilities to wash their hands before and after each treatment session.
