Happy Imbolc to all you Goddesses out there!
Imbolc is the pagan festival that welcomes back the light✨ after the dark of winter.
It sits between winter solstice and the spring equinox and is a joyous reminder of the potency of new growth and life.
Imbolc translates to ‘in the belly’ the seed of life and its potential. It is also known as Oimelc, or Ewes milk, when pregnant ewes would start to produce milk in preparation for the spring lambs 🐑 All rather relevant to a birthworker and breastfeeding counsellor!!
The turning of the wheel and nature’s rhythms remind me of the cycles within pregnancy, birth and the fourth trimester, and the rhythms and tides within us all from a cranio sacral perspective.
This time asks us to reflect on what seeds we want to plant for the future, what do we want to grow?
Boosted by a full moon in Leo, this is a powerful time to clear the decks and get ready for the return of the light
Light a white candle and take a moment to reflect on what you want to start/grow/achieve………….. and let the magic in ✨✨

Sad to hear of the passing of an amazing man. Michel Odent was a true childbirth pioneer, who understood and honoured the physiology of birth. He promoted normality, believed in the capacity of women to birth their babies without intervention and introduced water birth into the birth place.
As a student midwife I was fortunate to attend one of his lectures, it blew me away. When focussing on learning the nuts and bolts of midwifery as a student, he brought the magic and the spirituality into the space✨ I highly recommend his book Childbirth in the age of Plastic, a thought provoking and often disconcerting read about the potential evolutionary changes to women and birth, should we continue down the path of seemingly constant intervention.
A great man indeed ❤️

From September I will be part of the infant feeding support group the Bump, Birth and Baby Hub, Evegate, Ashford. Run by midwives, infant feeding coaches and IBCLC’s, this amazing resource will provide professional, informed feeding support, And most importantly, tea and cake!

Infant feeding issues arise from many factors, not least issues resulting from birth.
We offer an holistic approach that recognises the importance of bodywork to help babies resolve physical restrictions and tension that can effect their ability to feed, alongside skilled feeding specialists.

I will be available for cranio sacral therapy sessions on Fridays, after the group, that can help to resolve tensions and trauma from birth and support your feeding journey.

It’s a holistic Birthworks kind of day😊
A beautiful walk to work along the canal and an antenatal breastfeeding session home visit. Then on to my lovely sunny clinic room Foreman & Jones - Natural Health Practice and a podcast call with Bev and Keri @ elite members midwives talking about all the holistic services I offer.
Then a postnatal massage and two babies for their cranio sacral treatments and breastfeeding support.
