Lovely feedback from the parents of a child recently assessed for ADHD:

"Excellent service from start to finish. Faye took the time to talk through the process before we chose to go ahead allowing us to make an informed decision and kept us updated throughout the process. Very easy to talk to when going through family history. Very happy throughout."

More fabulous feedback received today...

'We used the Autism Assessment Centre for psychotherapy. Robert met with my daughter in school to help her with many fears she had developed. My daughter loved having the chance to talk through her worries with Robert and each time she came home after a session, she was happy to tell me about one or two things that didn’t worry her anymore.
She is much happier and enjoying everyday life much more since seeing Robert. Whilst I’m sure there will be challenges in the future, I feel as if she has built some resilience and learned some great skills to be able to help herself better as and when things crop up.
Thank you so much for making such a positive difference to her life.'

Please do get in touch via here or our website if you are interested in therapeutic support.

Masking is a strategy used by some autistic people, consciously or unconsciously, to appear non-autistic in order to fit in and be more accepted in society. It can come at a great cost however, as it relies on suppressing natural behaviour and coping mechanisms.

The National Autistic Society asked autistic people to explain masking in their own words. Read these and learn more about masking here:

A strategy used by some autistic people, to appear non-autistic. This can have a devastating impact on mental health, sense of self and access to an autism diagnosis.
