At just 18, Autumn is showing everyone what’s possible when you decide you deserve more and she’s been an absolute joy to support. In just ten weeks, Autumn has lost an incredible 26.5lb. She’s now only 1.5lb away from her 2 stone award… but the numbers on the scales are just the start of how far she’s come.
When she first walked into group, she’ll tell you herself she wasn’t convinced.
“I was totally against Slimming World,” she says “I didn’t know much about it and thought it wasn’t for someone like me.”
But she came anyway. She sat down. She listened. And that tiny bit of bravery changed everything.
Her ‘why’ will really resonate with lots of people. She told her grandma, “I don’t want to go shopping with my friends and be digging at the back of every rail, only to find a size large that I knew wouldn’t fit.” That moment stuck with her and it pushed her to give something new a try.
Before joining, food was all about convenience and comfort. As a student and working as a kitchen assistant her meals before were chips, pizza, fried chicken… and full-fat mayo on everything. Now? Her plate looks totally different. She’s loving her Free Foods eggs, fruit, proper home‑cooked meals helping her lose 5.5lbs in her very first week!
But the biggest change hasn’t been on the scales, it’s been in her confidence.
“I feel like I can truly just be a teenage girl,” she told me. “Not constantly worrying about my body image or how I’m perceived.”
Hearing that… that’s the bit that makes me proud beyond words.
Autumn hasn’t done this alone.
She’s embraced the support around her, from group the encouragement, kindness and genuine cheerleading.
As her consultant, I’m bursting with pride.
Seeing her walk in each week a little taller, a little braver, a little more Autumn… it’s honestly the best part of my job.
She’s unstoppable.
Shopping without anxiety, walking into the gym with her head held high.
Even signing up to play championship‑level women’s rugby something she never would’ve imagined ten weeks ago.
“I feel empowered,” she says.
And she absolutely is.
This is just the beginning for Autumn and I’m so proud to be cheering her on every step of the way.
