Felt under the weather for the last few days really fancied porridge this morning. So quick and easy a hug in a bowl total comfort foodđŸ„° 3tbs oats, 1tbs chia seeds, ground flax seeds and seeds with almond milk bring to the boil simmer for 20 mins top with whatever you fancy ❀ I topped mine with walnuts, coconut and strawberries 🍓 🍓🍓🍓

Yesterday was a long day of reflection, drinking a toast to our Queen eating cake and sipping red wine. Today is another day, I got up at 5.15am drove my son to Heathrow then went straight to the gym!! I really wasn’t feeling it at all, but I knew I needed it and I felt so much better after my session. Don’t let a bad day turn into a bad week a bad month etc. Consistency yesterday was yesterday today is today. Don’t think just do it!

After a 30th party on Saturday night and a Sunday of flopping around, I got up this morning put my running shoes on and went for a slow 5K run with Lulu and Ted my favourite running companions. I feel so much better mentally I do a lot of thinking and reflecting when I run. I’m now ready for 11am 💗🇬🇧😱

Laughter and fun are so important for me when exercising, it’s the people and of course Joseph Steele that are important. Those endorphins make us feel so good when exercising and afterwards. There are so many benefits when exercising at any age. I tried surfing this summer for the first time, I felt so out of my comfort zone I’m a strong swimmer but I don’t really like the sea, I felt sick with anxiety and slightly cross that my son had nagged me to try it!! I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed it believe me they were beginner baby waves, but I got up on the board nearly every time, I loved it and felt amazing. Better to fail trying than not to of tried at all. words not mine, but they stuck with me as my attitude for years was rather not try in case I fail !!! Don’t let yourself hold you back 😊 😀

Picked the last fig of the season this morning, we’ve had an amazing year of figs.
I’ve eaten them for breakfast with yogurt, topped my overnight oats with them, I’ve made fig jam which is delicious and I’ve added to salads with feta so good. Add figs to your shopping list they’re so versatile, and a great source of fibre which promote s regular bowel movement whats not to love❀ đŸ’šâ€ïž

This is so true in virtually everything in life. Consistency is key. School starts tomorrow, plan the days you are going to exercise for your week and stick to it. I have a routine which is pretty much set in stone, I don’t even think about it I just do it, some mornings I’m not feeling it, but I still go and I do it and I feel so much better I skip out to the car when I’ve finished! If I didn’t have my gym days the same every week and I just tried to fit them in here there and everywhere I would end up not going as life would get in the way. So it’s the beginning of September, it’s the beginning of a new term, sit down write the days down in your diary, keep that hour free to do whatever exercise or movement you’ve planned on each day your going every week I promise you it works đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ€© đŸ€©
