Today's toddler yogis had a fun filled class.
Beginning, as always, with our welcome song and our warm up dance, we also did the 'Stinky foot test' and practiced our Bumblebee breathing (Bhramari pranayama), which is wonderful for calming our minds, helping with headaches and also aids us in remembering lost items and information.
We practiced our balance skills, colour recognition and sorting skills, using our feet 👣 to pick up the coloured hoops and placing them on the right coloured cone - this is especially tricky, and it's the first time our toddler yogis have done this - they did amazingly well 👏
We then yoga-fied one of our favourite books 'A Squash and A Squeeze' by Julia Donaldson... practicing lots of poses including table, chair 🪑, hen 🐔, goat 🐐, pig 🐖, cow 🐄 and house 🏠, before finishing with a game of party freeze.
After a well earned relaxation, we thought about the story we'd just read and how the old man had helped the old lady with her problem, we then thought about who helps us when we have a problem, and practicing our balloon breathing, we sent thank you balloons to the special people in our lives who help us 🧡
The toddler yogis then showed me their super helpfulness, and helped me to roll all the mats back up, and tidy away all of our equipment ⭐ They really are yoga super stars 🤩
