Happy Mother’s Day!

Thank you to everyone who came to my Calendula 🌼 Mother’s Day workshop this week - I had so much fun with you all.

I hope you lovely mums are getting chance to relax today and the kids are bringing you cups of tea 🫖🥰.

Spring feels like it’s finally here! 🌷

And did you know…?

Daffodils were brought to the UK in Ancient Roman times and we are now the world’s biggest grower.

Although they are NOT edible, scientists have discovered that certain daffodil species contain galantamine, a constituent which is used to improve memory and cognitive function in Alzheimer’s patients. So definitely not one to use at home but still fascinating none the less!

What a joy to spend time exploring Rose with such curious, lovely little people. We learned, we smelled, we touched, we created.

Sharing our upcoming children’s herbal remedy workshop, focusing on Calendula 🌼 and taking place in the run-up to Mother’s Day.

This will be a hands-on session, where the children will learn about sunny calendula - a herb traditionally associated with calming irritated skin - and make their own herbal remedies together with their mum (& children can take home to gift on mother’s day). Mums will also have an opportunity to relax and have some tea/cake while children are kept busy crafting.

The workshop is designed to be sensory, creative, and nurturing, using natural ingredients in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Price - £25 per mother and child (inc. tea and cake for mum)

In this gentle, hands-on session, children will explore the beautiful rose — a herb traditionally associated with kindness and the heart — and create their own rose body scrub and soothing face mask to take home. These can be enjoyed as a little self-care treat or gifted to someone special.

The workshop is designed to be sensory, creative, and nurturing, using natural ingredients in a relaxed and supportive environment.

🌙 Sweet Dreams Tea for Little Ones 🌙
Winding down can be hard for tiny minds with big imaginations — this gentle herbal blend makes bedtime feel like a cozy ritual. ✨

🍵 Bedtime Tea Recipe
Mix equal parts of:
💜 Lavender
🌹 Rose petals
🌼 Chamomile
🍃 Lemon balm

Steep 1 tsp of the blend in hot water and cover for 5 minutes then strain, let cool, and serve warm.
It’s floral, calming, and perfect for easing into dreamland. 😴💫
