Did you know that opioid painkillers can come with a lot of side effects. It's worth having a look at the Live Well With Pain website.

Opioid painkillers include codeine, co-codamol, dihydrocodeine, tramadol, morphine, oxycodone.

The evidence for their use in chronic pain has changed over the past few years.

DO NOT STOP YOUR PAINKILLERS SUDDENLY.

Book a routine appointment with a GP of your choice if you would like to discuss your pain relief further.

Do you have a friend or family member with low or no vision?

RNIB know sight loss has an impact on friends and family, who, in many cases, are the main support for blind and partially sighted people. To help manage the challenges around this, RNIB have created a Focus on Friends and Family course for adults.

The course is for adults living in the UK and lasts for one hour a week over four weeks for up to 60 minutes. The next one is on Tuesday 4 March 2025 at 6.30pm with future dates and times being added.

You will find out about organisations, products, and services available to help you and opportunities to learn from and discuss personal experiences and share top tips.

Interested?
Contact the RNIB Helpline on 0303 123 9999 stating that you would like to sign up to the Focus on Friends and Family course or email the Living Well with Sight Loss team directly at LWWSLEnquiries@rnib.org.uk
