Since 2015, the Night Before Christmas Campaign, a local charity, has been devoted to assisting people in need, spreading festive cheer throughout the community for almost a decade.

To help this wonderful organisation, staff, residents and families at Creggan Bahn came together and donated a wide range of beautiful gifts, including toys, clothes and toiletries. A heartfelt thank you to everyone for their kind donations and support; it will certainly benefit our community throughout Christmas.

Here at Creggan Bahn we enjoyed taking part in Xmas T-shirt/jumper day.

We even set up a competition voted by a panel of residents. Our staff showed off their tops/jumpers as well as their own personal decorations. Our residents took their role of voting very seriously and enjoyed taking part in the fun. Michelle, Ann and Gary won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and were proud to show off their prizes.

It was a day enjoyed by many, full of fun and laughter!

Here at Creggan Bahn, we enjoyed a visit from Wellington primary school. The children sang some carols and then enjoyed showing off their items/work to our residents. This is an ongoing intergenerational community connection project, which was enjoyed by both the children and residents alike. We had an amazing time, and the children were very engaged in speaking to our residents.

It was an afternoon of connecting the younger generation with the old generation, through the magic of Christmas. We enjoyed the visit from the children and can’t wait to continue the project with Alloway primary who will be visiting on the 9th.

St Andrew's was celebrated in great style today at Creggan Bahn with talented Piper Fergus who entertained us with some wonderful Scottish bagpipe tunes, finishing his set with a much loved favourite, Auld Lang Syne'. Thank you Fergus for playing for our residents, everyone is hoping you will return soon to play more tunes.

We reminisced by listening to Jimmy Shand and his band along with lively ceilidh music and highland dancing. Residents and staff all joined in with the toe tapping music with much fun and laughter. Shortbread and a wee dram was also enjoyed to celebrate Scotland's Patron Saint.

Here at Creggan Bahn, we enjoyed some amazing carols, performed by our resident David Craig and his family. We all really enjoyed singing along and thought it was a truly magical moment.

The Carolers got into the Christmas spirit by wearing their Santa hats, which helped make the performance even more special. We finished of the event by turning on our annual Christmas tree, which everyone enjoyed and even gave a big applause at the end. It was an afternoon full of talent, music, relaxation, and more socialisation.

Here at Creggan Bahn, we enjoyed this year's indoor panto, which was Cinderella. It was an afternoon full of magical entertainment for all. We all enjoyed shouting things like “oh no it isn’t” and “she is behind you”. Our sister care home Glennie House also came along to join in the fun. It was an afternoon full of smiles and laughter. We can’t wait for them to come back next year as their performance was outstanding.

Here at Creggan Bahn, we brought the Christmas market to those living with us by having it indoors. Everyone really enjoyed buying some Christmas presents and cards for their loved ones. The day was full of laughter, Christmas magic, and more...socialising. A big thank you to our talented baker who made some fantastic cakes, as well as all other venders who took part.

The lovely people living with us enjoyed plenty of cuddles with Ted, bringing plenty of smiles to everyone. A day full of More...Connection!
