A wee favour that genuinely helps so many others…(Please help)

Most people who book in with me do it after reading the 5 star reviews ,, even when they’re already recommended. It helps them feel safe, hopeful and ready to take that first step.

If I’ve helped you or your child in any way, a quick review would mean a lot and could give someone else the courage they need or simply click the 5 stars on google (or a quick Facebook recommendation helps loads)

Hit the Reset Button: 20 Fast Ways to Calm Anxiety

When stress or panic hits, your body flips into fight-or-flight mode. The key is learning how to switch it off — and that’s where the vagus nerve comes in.
It’s your body’s built-in calm switch — slowing your heart rate, steadying your breathing, and helping you feel safe again.
Here are 20 simple ways to activate it and reset your system fast:
1.Chew gum – activates the vagus nerve.
2.Gargle water – tones throat muscles and sends calm signals.
3.Hum or sing – vibrates relaxation through the body.
4.Play calming or feel-good music.
5.Breathe slow: inhale 4s, exhale 6–8s, repeat 10 times.
6.Shoulder shrugs – lift and drop 10 times to release tension.
7.Sit, fix your eyes on where the wall meets the ceiling, blink slowly, and drift into calm.
8.Splash your face with cold water, shrug, breathe deep — repeat 3 times.
9.Try box breathing (4-4-4-4) or belly breathing.
10.Fake a yawn – it works.
11.Big sigh – your natural reset button.
12.Shake it off or dance – move the energy.
13.Walk, run, or swim – repetitive motion calms the mind.
14.Tense and release – squeeze muscles for 5 seconds, then let go.
15.Hug – 8 hugs a day lower stress hormones.
16.Ground yourself – barefoot on grass or sand for 5 mins.
17.Cold water therapy – face splash, cold shower, sea dip.
18.Get into nature – breathe, listen, and let it reset you.
19.Step outside – close your eyes and slow your breathing.
20.Laugh or smile – even fake it, your brain believes it.
Your vagus nerve is your calm button.
Use these anytime anxiety hits — they work fast, naturally, and anywhere.

Stop Sugar Cravings with Hypnosis

Imagine walking past chocolate like it’s wallpaper — no willpower, no fight, just calm control.

That’s not superhuman. That’s hypnosis done right.

Sugar cravings aren’t really about hunger. They’re about habits, emotions, and the brain’s reward loop — every sweet hit releases dopamine, the “ahhh” chemical, and your mind learns to chase it.

The good news?
If your brain learned it, it can unlearn it.

Hypnosis doesn’t battle cravings — it rewires them. It quiets the voice that says “just one more” and replaces it with calm, control, and real satisfaction.

No guilt. No struggle. Just freedom.

You’re not weak — your brain just needs new programming. Hypnosis helps you take back control from the inside out.

Because the sweetest feeling in the world… is being in control.

DM me or visit www.modernhypnosisbyalancurrie.com to discover how hypnosis can help you stop sugar cravings for good.

Learning to Say No — Without Losing YourselfYou’ve spent years saying yes — to keep the peace, to avoid guilt, to please...

Learning to Say No — Without Losing Yourself

You’ve spent years saying yes — to keep the peace, to avoid guilt, to please everyone else… sound familiar?
But every yes that goes against your own needs chips away at your peace.
Your time stops feeling like yours.
Your energy runs out — and no one even realises it’s costing you.

Saying no isn’t rejection — it’s self-respect.
It’s not selfish — it’s smart.
It’s choosing calm over chaos and protecting your time, energy, and emotional space.

Here are 10 ways to use “NO” (gently) and mean it — because you can.

1. Pause before replying. Most people-pleasers respond too fast. Take a breath.
2. Don’t reply in emotion. Guilt, pressure, or fear make poor decision-makers.
3. Say this: “Let me check my schedule and get back to you.” It gives you time and control.
4. If it doesn’t suit, say no. It’s your time and life — it doesn’t mean you don’t care.
5. Use “No, because…” Give yourself an *inner* reason, not an *outer* excuse.
6. Retrain others gently. They’re used to your yes — consistency teaches respect.
7. Stop apologising for boundaries. No is not rude. Overcommitting is.
8. See your energy as fuel.** Spend it where it creates value, not resentment.
9. Be honest: “I can’t,” “I don’t want to,” or simply “No.” That’s strength, not guilt.
10.Remember: No is a complete sentence — and every no creates space for a real yes.

When you stop saying yes out of guilt, you start saying yes out of choice.
That’s not selfish — that’s emotional maturity.
The world won’t fall apart when you say no.
But you might just fall back together.

The Overthinker’s Hangover
Ever wake up already tired not from drink, but from thinking?
That’s the overthinker’s hangover.
No shots. No wine. Just hours of replaying conversations, worrying about tomorrow, and arguing with your own mind.
Anxiety isn’t always panic attacks or shaking hands.
Sometimes it’s silence, tight shoulders, fake smiles, and pretending you’re fine.
Your brain isn’t broken ...it’s just stuck in protection mode.
Hypnotherapy helps switch that off.
It rewires the patterns that keep you trapped in what-ifs and what-went-wrongs.
It helps you feel calm again , not numb, but free.
If your mind won’t stop talking, maybe it’s time to listen in a different way.
Let’s get you unstuck.
DM me to find out how hypnotherapy can help.

THE ENEMY (The Inner Me)

To the brothers, fathers, sons, and uncles we’ve lost to su***de we remember you this November.🕯️💙🖤🤍

You remind us that silence can be deadly, and that strength without expression can become a prison.

The truth is, most men aren’t fighting the world ; they’re fighting themselves.
Not the enemy… but the inner me.

The one that doubts, overthinks, stays quiet when it hurts, and hides behind “I’m fine.”, everyone wears a 'mask' !

The one that keeps you up at night, replaying every mistake, questioning if you’re good enough.

We call it stress. Pressure. Just getting on with it.
But it’s really exhaustion ,, the weight of unspoken battles.

Real strength isn’t silence. It’s honesty.

It’s facing your own thoughts head-on and saying, “I’m ready to change this.”
Hypnotherapy helps with that. It calms the noise, rewires the story, and helps you take back control — from the inside out.

This November, let’s speak up for the men who never got the chance to.
Not because we’re weak, but because we’re brave enough to face The Inner Me.
