Now fully booked, thank you all.

Sauerkraut Workshop – Sunday 29th June, 2–4pm, South Ayrshire

Come and learn the simple art of making sauerkraut in this hands-on, small group workshop at my home.

Fermented foods like sauerkraut are amazing for gut health — packed with beneficial bacteria, vitamins, and enzymes that support digestion, immunity, and even mood.

You’ll leave with your own jar of homemade kraut, the confidence to safely ferment at home, and a lovely gift bag filled with gut-friendly goodies to keep you inspired.

Whether you’re totally new to fermenting or just want a refresher, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

Message me to book or ask questions – spaces are limited.

I was given a bag of frozen berries that had defrosted today so I decided to make some chia jam.

Chai jam is a great source of fibre, omega 3s and antioxidants. Sweetened with maple syrup rather than sugar, it has a lower glycemic index meaning it will cause a lower rise in blood sugars.

This was so easy, I’ll definitely make it again.

Recipe in the comments.

I had the most wonderful day, in the best company, chatting with Janice from Nourished by Nature about her Wellness Hub — and joined by the lovely Lynn, From The Earth Ferments and May from May Riddell Therapies.

Janice has been quietly nurturing the Hub behind the scenes, and I’m so pleased she’s now sharing it more widely. It’s full of care, wisdom, and down-to-earth support — wherever you’re based.

If you’re curious about gut health, fermentation, natural remedies, or just want to feel inspired and supported, the Hub is a brilliant place to be — and it’s open to everyone.

✨ Come join the Wellness Hub and be part of something special.

What a brilliant evening in Gill’s gorgeous kitchen!

I had such a lovely time teaching a sauerkraut workshop for her and some of her delightful family and friends — we got hands-on, had great chats, and there’s even talk of a kombucha session next time 💚

These home-based workshops are one of my favourite ways to share gut health and good food.

If you’d love to host your own, just get in touch — I’d love to hear from you.

Dinner tonight was a delicious taste of retreat life ✨
I first had this gorgeous dish made by Vicky of during my recent weekend away — and I had to try it at home!

It’s a .tv recipe: harissa-spiced lentils, roasted hispi cabbage, creamy tahini dressing, topped with fresh mint and pomegranate seeds.
Gut healthy, satisfying and full of flavour. Highly recommend! 💚

Busy times — but the best kind! 💚
Yesterday was a gut health presentation in the morning, where I enjoyed meeting lots of new and interesting people, followed by a one-to-one consultation with a delightful lady in the evening.

Friday brings another lovely gathering — a practical workshop in someone’s home with some of her family and friends. I really enjoy these in-house sessions as they create such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable asking questions, getting hands-on, and having a good laugh along the way.

I’m going to settle down in my cozy corner now and plan some dates for my next workshops, but if you’d like me to come to your home so you can relax in your space with your own friends, just get in touch — I’d love to hear from you!

Getting set up for today’s workshop with Rooted Souls at the beautiful Dumfries House — such a peaceful and inspiring setting to gather and share.
We’ve brought a nourishing spread to fuel the day: wholegrain sourdough focaccia, gluten-free crackers, creamy hummus, hearty soup, and a vibrant selection of ferments and kombucha. Looking forward to a day of connection, learning, and grounding.

I absolutely love my daily kefir shake — it’s a delicious, nourishing, great way to start the day.

It’s full of plant-based protein, fibre, healthy fats (hello omegas!), and live probiotics to support gut health, hormone balance, energy, and mood.

Simple ingredients, blended smooth — and it keeps me feeling strong and steady all morning.

This recipe makes 2 shakes.

Breakfast today was a celebration of wild, local food and sunshine 🌿☀️

A fluffy omelette packed with foraged greens—wild garlic, ground elder, and rosebay willow herb tips, served with juicy blueberries and a glass of my homemade strawberry & basil kombucha. I skipped the nettles (they’ve started flowering, so not ideal to eat now), but this mix was pure seasonal joy.

Wild greens are rich in antioxidants, minerals, and fibre—great for digestion, inflammation, and overall vitality. Paired with gut-friendly ferments and vibrant fruit, this kind of meal is a feast for the microbiome.

Eating it all outside, in the sunshine, just adds another layer of nourishment.

What’s growing wild near you? 🌸

I recently enjoyed the most soothing Reiki session with May Riddell Therapies, and it was pure bliss from start to finish.

After a wee lymph clearing, which involved a trampoline ☺️ we went to her beautiful treatment room and I got cosy while May began the treatment.

The whole session felt unhurried, calm, and deeply relaxing; I drifted off to sleep a few times, it was so lovely.

If you’re looking for a practitioner who blends expertise with genuine warmth, I can’t recommend May Riddell highly enough. Her Reiki session was a little pocket of peace in a hectic week, and I’ll definitely be booking again.
