Bereavement Support Service
We are so sorry when we see good services like by Cruse Bereavement Support NI come to an end.
Most services have limits and sadly none of us can do it all, but between us we all show up to serve our communities and between all of the pieces of the bereavement support jigsaw 🧩 we make a huge difference to heal hearts and positively support the well-being and lives of local people.
Locally here in N-Ire Fresh Minds Education has three support avenues available for bereavement support:
1) primary aged children & their parents/carers can receive direct 1-1 support in Antrim, Toome, Ballyclare and soon in L-Derry.
2) Bereaved teens can join our mental health leadership group and make a difference to the lives of young people whilst making new friends and connections.
3) Social Workers, Healthcare workers, Youth workers, pastoral teachers, and other professionals or trained volunteers working with young children or parents can apply to train in our parent and child method. We will support you to start up a parent and child family service near you. We particularly want to support organisations who are willing to prioritise the needs of bereaved children or children living in emotional distress.
