Roots Revealed is owned by Natalie Bodle, an experienced genealogist with a Post Graduate Certificat

She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and a member of various family history societies. Roots Revealed is based in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and can undertake genealogy research throughout Ireland and further afield, while specialising in Ulster and Northern Ireland. Natalie delivers regular Exploring Your Roots Genealogy Courses - this is a 10-week course that will show you how to carry out your own family history research. My next talk is on the subject of the Irish Workhouse and Finding Your Poor Irish Ancestors. It is for the Belfast Branch of the North of Ireland Family History Society (NIFHS) and will be delivered via Zoom on Tuesday 28 April at 7.15pm BST. During the talk we will look at the provison for the poor and the different schemes such as indoor relief, outdoor relief and employment schemes. We will include emigration schemes provided by the workhouse and local landlords as well as the Earl Grey Orphan Immigration Scheme. The brutal conditions in the workhouse will be discussed and we will examine how and where we can find more information about our ancestors who may have worked there or been admitted as an inmate or for medical treatment. My next talk is just in time for St Patrick's Day and will be delivered online for Bradford Family History Society. The subject is 'My Ancestors Were Irish, or Were They?'

We examine the origins of the surnames found in Ireland, resources for finding out more about them and the locations they are to be found in throughout the island.

We also look at forenames and naming patterns that can help you to figure out the names of family members.
