A fantastic evening at our latest Optometrist CPD meeting at Solasta Healthcare, reinforcing our ongoing dedication as an ophthalmology centre of excellence.

We were delighted to welcome Professor Colin Willoughby, who delivered an insightful presentation on the Biological Basis of SLT Laser and the Clinical Management of Glaucoma.

We also enjoyed an engaging and interactive session from Mr Nicholas Cotton on the Recognition, Referral and Background to YAG Capsulotomy for Optometrists.

A successful evening of learning at the Leighinmohr Hotel, Ballymena, where local optometrists gathered for an insightful CPD meeting hosted by Professor Colin Willoughby for Solasta Healthcare.

The session highlighted the critical importance of lens choice in cataract surgery, breaking down the differences between the various intraocular lens options and how they impact patient outcomes.

Attendees also enjoyed an engaging and interactive segment, including a hands-on experience with Alcon’s visual simulator—bringing lens technology to life and enhancing understanding in a practical way.
