A recently completed pond and stream using natural wetland filtration. The top pond has 1.5 metres of graded stone which acts as a natural filter. The wetland plants will help remove nitrogen from the water preventing algae growth and keeping the water lovely and clear.

A walk through of a job completed in August this year. The lawn will be a mixture of meadow flowers and grasses with a mown path meandering through. All stone was sourced on site from the original clearance work for this and neighbouring properties.

This was a challenging job. The entire project had to be “temporary” as the courtyard has listed status along with the house in Old Aberdeen. The deck and all raised beds are sitting on rubber shims to protect the ancient cobbles and provide some damp-proofing to the timber which appears to float above the cobbles. To make the job more challenging the whole courtyard is on quite a severe slope..
