If global events feel heavy right now, giving more attention to them won't ease that feeling. Instead, come back to the moment. Search for the wonder that's all around you. Lay back, feel the sun on your face, listen to the wind through the trees, watch the birds dance overhead, taste the salty sea air, and smell the blooming flowers! ✨ Introducing the first of my NEW Community Series to help us connect and navigate these times together ✨

I previously mentioned that with a changing world I felt a little 'off' not addressing the elephant in the room. After all, it’s no longer only work, family life or childhood experiences that are causing us stress and holding us back from excelling in our lives; we now have geopolitics and domestic unsettle stealing our energy too. And that matters.

I've allowed myself time to explore rabbit holes, seek some understanding of the world, find a little acceptance in my heart, and recalibrate my thoughts so I can move forward with a purpose that feels right.

So, in addition to 121 Rapid Transformational Therapy and Hypnotherapy for professional women dealing with stress and chronic illness, I've decided to hold a range of donation-based community events to help us slow down, gather ourselves, reignite the power within us, and slowly but surely find our own paths again - full of intention.

When we are lost, there is strength in connection.

🌿 First Gathering: Intuitive Creation 🌿

📍 The Den, Bangor
🗓 Sunday 19 April
⏰ 3–5pm

In this small, intimate session we will learn the SCIENTIFIC technique of tapping into the heart's 'mini brain' cells, and use this intelligence to LISTEN to our internal guidance that has been drowned out. This will help create our current intention and future direction that FEELS right.

We'll do this through a guided session that combines:
💗 HeartMath techniques,
🕯 The magic of natural beeswax, and
🎨 The freedom of creating a personal vision board...(with a difference).

This means you can leave with tangible items as motivators for your next steps.

This will be a calm, reflective and creative space to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with what truly matters to you.

We leave the noise of the world outside.

The sun is finally out (I'm very happy 😊), the grass has had its first cut, and I’m taking a few minutes to connect barefoot. Why? 👇🌱☀️

When life feels overwhelming, from personal circumstances or from global situations, (or both!), this simple activity helps bring me back from the panic. Feeling the ground under my feet, slowing my breathing, and reconnecting with nature (by feeling the sun on my face, watching the clouds move, listening to the birds chatter etc) helps calm my racing mind and shifts my body from stress to steadines.

I love the feeling of dropping back into my 'self' and synchronising with the earth's natural energy field. (Don't underestimate it!)

Small moments like this remind me that while we can’t control everything happening globally, we can care for our own balance and resilience. Sometimes the most powerful reset is just stepping outside and touching the earth.

This morning, I need to take a second to do something incredibly important.

I need to slip back into living consciously.

I need to catch my thoughts and reframe any that aren't going to be helpful for me today.

I need to hush the monkey mind that's making me spin in circles.

I need to release the fear that I'm holding in my heart.

I need to let the energy of anger and frustration move through my cells and into another form.

I need to select a simple affirmation for today.

So I'm being still to hear my thoughts, I'm doing HeartMath techniques, I'm walking slowly, I'm looking intentionally, and I’m settling into the rhythm of the sea....all while embracing the rare blue sky as the sun comes up to join me.

And for today.. "I am safe".

In my very transparent post of 26th Jan, I shared honestly about why I had gone quiet for a while.

I spoke about the overwhelm, the questions, and the time I needed to pause and process what was happening in the world around us, how that was impacting on my daily life and how I was 'showing up' for others.

There was a distinct shift, and I needed to pivot so I no longer felt I had to push water upstream.

Since then, something important has settled inside me.

Not all the answers, but enough clarity to move forward with intention.

During this time of reflection, I kept coming back to the same truth: my purpose hasn’t changed. If anything, it has become clearer.

The world may feel chaotic, uncertain and heavy at times, but that is exactly why the work of developing awareness of our emotions, learning skills to bring our bodies and minds out of fight or flight, and reconnecting to ourselves, each other, and the natural world around us is more important than ever.

Stress, anxiety, burnout and chronic illness are rising everywhere. I see it daily in the incredible women I work with, especially those in the health, education and legal sectors who carry such enormous responsibility for others. However, it is no longer just the career, or busy homelife, or the emotional carrythrough from childhood or trauma that’s impacting our daily lives right now. Relentless world events are adding fuel to the fire. So, it's time to address the elephant in the room.

Supporting women through RTT, Hypnotherapy and HeartMath Reiki will continue to be a core part of my work. But I’ve also realised something else. Right now, many women are struggling quietly. They may not normally seek this kind of support, or they may feel it isn’t accessible to them. So moving forward, I’m expanding the way I offer my work so I can try and support as many women as possible.

Alongside my private client work, I’ll be creating a series of donation-based community events designed to help us pause, soften the mental noise, understand how and why we're reacting, cut through the fear, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness within ourselves.

These spaces will be gentle, supportive and grounded: a place to breathe, reflect, gain perspective and build resilience together during challenging times. There will also be a space for shared knowledge and practical skills, because sustainable community health grows when we support one another in understanding how to care for ourselves, holistically.

Because when individuals find calm and clarity, something powerful happens.

It ripples outward.

Communities become stronger.

Conversations become more compassionate.

And we remember that we’re not navigating this world alone.

This feels like the right path forward for me, and I’m grateful to walk it with those of you who feel drawn to this idea.

More details about the sessions and community events will be shared soon.

For now, my message remains the same as before:

Find peace where you can.
Even in small moments.
Even in uncertain times.

Your mind and your heart deserve that space.

If your personal life feels heavy right now, or if the world feels too dark, just remember that in order to understand the feelings of joy, love, happiness, compassion, kindness and LIGHT - we first have to have experienced the DARK.

The Law of Opposites is a natural rhythm of the human experience, full of high swings and low swings, happiness and sadness, fear and faith.

Resisting the darkness can often keep us stuck in it - preventing the light from breaking through.

Instead, accept the darkness, momentarily; appreciate its lesson, move through it with awareness, and intentionally allow it to pass. Because it will. The light WILL come.

So breathe and remember, we NEED the darkness.

Because it was the first dry day in 72 years 🙄 I took myself to the coast.

I dropped into conscious thinking, intentional movement, connected experiences, and rhythmical creation through different vibrational energies. Cut through the jargon and FEEL what that means. 👌

I disconnected from the matrix of the distracted life, and focused on my chosen path forward for Nikki Nev Therapy.

There won't be drastic changes: I'm not pivoting from RTT, Hypnotherapy and group stress sessions to become a beauty therapist! 😅 But there WILL be gentle shifts. Gentle but important.

Moving on from my last couple of posts ...

The world is changing. Of course it ALWAYS changes, but perhaps it's the speed and volume of the change that is making us humans really feel it.

We naturally cling to what we value and don't want to lose. And equally, we resist the things we don’t want to happen. Both clinging and resisting are based in fear. And that fear shows up as a form of protection.

But desperately clinging and resisting keeps us stuck. Stuck in discomfort, with a perceived loss of control. In this space, we lose our ability to not only be content, but also to create.

As humans, our purpose is to create. If we're not creating, we're disintegrating.

To realign, we need to find acceptance in the situation and peace within ourselves.

But acceptance doesn't mean withdrawal and isolation from the world. It doesn't mean giving up. Instead, we need to redirect the energy of fear towards remembering the immense power we have within ourselves; within our minds, bodies, and souls. And awaken it.

Acceleration of this power and creation comes from connection.

Community is our secret weapon.

Humans don't thrive in isolation. We are a species that thrive, and survive, in groups.

However, modern ways nudge us, one gentle nudge at a time, to become more isolated. With isolation, our power, or belief of power, gets stripped away.

Many are feeling it now.

Part of my passion and purpose in this human experience is to help women and children transform out of personal stress with RTT and to fill their cup with overflowing confidence, but also to encourage community connection, so we can ALL awaken our power and nurture it.

However, it can be hard to know where to start. And that's where I want to help. Providing opportunities for our innate creation, health and happiness to expand beyond the mental chains we've reluctantly or unknowingly opposed on ourselves, is a purpose that lights me up.

We are made for more.

It's time to cleanse and get back to basics. Because we've forgotten the value and power in it.

Hi, I'm Nikki McMillen, a local Bangor girl born and bred, and I am the energy behind the creation of Nikki Nev Coaching.

I am pulling together 25 years of knowledge, experience and qualifications, in a wide range of health and fitness services. (That makes me feel a bit old actually, lol).

I believe the four key aspects to a fabulous life are Movement, Mindset, Health and Happiness.
