Well hi 👋🏻 everyone,
I hope you had a great week🤗.
Good job 👍🏻 with classes guys👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You will never believe it but I head off to see
' The Smashing Machine' on Friday the eve of Storm Amy.😯
Fantastic movie by the way, a little gruesome at the beginning but what an amazing film, a true story about
Mark Kerr
,one of the original MMA fighters and apparently most never knew his name.
Unbelievable the fore runner of it all!
So I watched the .ovie and headed out... into quite a strong gusty wind...towards the train station when I got a call from Maurice to go d out where I was, I explained I am on route to the station 🚉 to which he replied but all trains have been cancelled.😯
By this time, the wind🌬️🌬️🌬️ was howling, trees had been blown down and I was just passing Samson 🏗️and Goliath🏗️.
We decided I would walk to a drop off on the dual carriageway 🚗 and he would drive up and get me, however as I was still walking while we were chatting I said no, because he would have to drive all the way up to the carriage way to the lights at Dee street to turn around and drive back up so I told him to wait for me at the City Airport stop.🥵
Maurice being Maurice did try to dissuade me from walking up to that point but I told him it would make his journey shorter 🙆🏻.
By now the gusts were coming fast and strong, the wind 🌬️ was fierce and the trees🌳 over head were not to be messed with!
The road ahead was longer than it would usually appear but on I raced.
You wouldn't need to be in severe need off help 😔 as the cars just flew on past as well as two empty buses🚍.🤷🏻
Really the length of road between the two points is a little longer than it appears 😕 when driving.
It was bucketing down, I had a dry robe on because of the 🌧️ when I left the house and when I arrived at the airport I was baked.😂
I made good time and he was there waiting for me.🙏🏻❤️
The funny thing was, when I got home I was trying undo the laces to take my boots🥾 off.... as again I only wore them because of the rain, have probably had them on twice before.... as Maurice helped me get them off both soles came away from the boots,🥾 so how fast was I walking?🤣🤣🤣, I couldn't believe, the complete sole on each boot! 🥾
Called off Saturday morning Park class🌅 and it turned out to be lovely!
I usually never check the forecast 🌧️☀️⛅🌪️🌫️as it is what it is and we have had class in all kinds of weather, in the the 5 years we have been outside.
Made the Aqua an hour later and managed to avoid the rain... for the most part... until about 5 minutes before we completed class, it was wonderful👍🏻 as usual as I do hate missing our classes and the Saturday mornings 🌅 classes just set us up for the weekend ahead.🤗 as does the Monday 🌅 morning one also!
Today I did some wallpapering which I have been meaning to do for some time, it's not as I would like it as I took the easy way out, but it will do for now🤫
Hope you are all well.
Classes for this week are as always.

Life Post.
Hi everyone 👋🏻 👋🏻 👋🏻
Firstly I do hope you are all well and staying dry in that beautiful 😍 rain.
I was listening to a discussion about the pros regarding AI and found myself asking the radio why there is not more truth being offered to the general public about the negative side and it's use!🤯
Obviously this is my opinion!
The anxiety surrounding AI (certainly artificial, in no way intelligent) often speaks to the fear of a 'impending' or 'looming' existential threat. This is wrong; it is already here: Large language models and AI assistants are already being installed on your phones, they are helping students write their university essays and job applicants writing their applications, and even AI therapists driving our most vulnerable into taking their own lives. Governments are already in active discussions about feeding your medical and voting information to these models (see more on US military and intelligence company Palantir and it's ambitions for the UK NHS), and not one of these political bodies have taken the responsibility of educating themselves about the real moral and ethical concerns of letting these amoral tech interests run roughshod through every civic service you depend on. It will not stop; not without fierce regulation, comprehensive education for all, pressure on politicians who continue remain ignorant on these matters, and naming and shaming when companies callously continue to insinuate their AI algorithms into every aspect of our infrastructure.
Stay safe in the weather to day! 🙏🏻
I will update for classes tomorrow but I think they will go ahead as normal.💪🏻🏊🏻
Have a good day and keep your heart up.xx❤️

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
It is such a tough watch, I gave up in the end!!Tonight, 8pm Disclosure,Care Home Undercover.
Oh my God, absolutely horrific....although with what Maurice told me he experienced in a home in Bangor with my mum's friend... it doesn't surprise me, but makes me physically sick to see how one human will treat another.
How is this still being allowed to happen to our loved ones in some of these places and those with no one to speak for them?
It's down right cruelty, so inhuman and how do those perpetrating these things live with themselves????
😠🤬

LIFE POST🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻
As I was on the path into the house after a long busy day last night I...as I do.... offered a kind word to a man walking down the other side of the road.
I mentioned to him what a lovely evening it was and that it was so calm, the darkness had fallen and the lights from the houses on a dark night are comforting after a long day!🤗
I always have some kind of lights on in my gardens both front and back all year round as I believe light of any kind is good.
I have a leylandai in the front which I have topiaries... If that's a word😉..... myself and I have lights on it.
The gentleman walked on down past the house and as I closed the gate he walked back to me and asked me " is that a Christmas tree " referring to my not very big tree?
I replied with an explanation... not needed.... but it was me he was asking.
So I replied "no it isnt a Christmas tree, but that I always have lights on in my garden all year round, to which he replied, "Oh I thought 🤔 you were one of those funny people"🤷🏻🤔
However I usually always have one colour, cream or blue and I had a sea blue on them and while cutting some branches further on a Red Robi....months ago...I accidentally cut through the wire.
So I purchased some new ones thinking 🤔 they were cream, not knowing inside the box they were coloured.
To lazy to go back to change them I kept them but I remember thinking at the time💬I
wonder will someone think that's a Christmas 🎄 tree and that was way back in May, maybe 🤔.
Ta da and there you have it, 🤷🏻I found someone who thought I had lit up a Christmas tree in my garden in September. 😂😂😂😂
I am sure there were more!
However there are lots of people who start their Christmas shopping early, who light up everything they can with Christmas lights or otherwise and it makes them feel happy 😊, it makes others feel happy and whose business is it, sure you may not agree, you may think a million and one things about it, but as long as they are not lighting up your house it shouldn't be your problem.💁🏻
We live in a world full of hate,😠 sadness,😢 isolation, 🤐begrudgery, loathing, hunger and war and there are not enough words to describe it all,😯 some one sticking a Christmas 🎄 tree up or lights around their home.... earlier than you think 💬 they should ... really says more about the person themselves that you and your tree or lights and how nice of him to think he had the right to outwardly and verbally judge me by saying that doing so would make me ' a funny? person, but he did feel he could verbalise that, so if he can do that and feel happy to do so then get those trees and lights out now, if that's your thing.🙂
Life is short and so much shorter for those caught in the cycle of madness going on all over the world 🌎 now.
Try not to judge, try to be kind, try to make allowances, of course it's not always easy to do, but always think
There but for the grace of God....or whatever essence or being you believe in and have the right to believe in...go any one of us!
Plenty of lights
everyone to brighten up yourself and the world.🌎
Have a good day everyone.🙏🏻
Lots of love to whoever reads my posts and of course all of my Pilates community.
Stay safe.xx❤️

Well the Saturday 10km was on this weekend and sadly we had heavy rain 💧💧💧forecast!🥴.
However, luckily for us we got our 9.30am class done💪🏻 and just a skiff of rain starting as we left the park 🏞️!
On my way down to the sea for our Aqua class some roads were closed as the runners were returning to their finishing spot in Ward Park 🏞️ so I got out of the car and walked down to the slip way.🌊
Amazing as I scanned the uphill runners I noticed Julie Balmer and her husband just on their last 1km, turn towards the Savoy and Hamilton Road towards the finish of the race!🤗
As I walked 🚶🏻on down the hill towards the sea🌊 I smiled🙂to myself, it brought back fond memories as Julie had always been a runner and had attended my Fitness and Pilates classes...with her hubby also.... when I was teaching in ARDS Leisure Centre.
Sadly Julie had to have a hip replacement and I remember she was so devastated when she came to tell me and feared she would never be able to run again.
Julie continued her classes and was with me for class on the day she was being admitted to hospital for her operation and I think it was six weeks when she returned to my class post op.
Her recovery was amazing but she was determined and that's so important for everyone!
So it was Amazing to see her and her hubby on the uphill run and to see that the fears she had....I always told her at the time to believe she would get back to running .... didn't happen and to see her approaching the final 1km was just wonderful for me, especially on a personal level, as she had always told me my classes made a big difference for her both pre and post op.
I would have loved to have shouted 🗣️out to them both but didn't want to put them off their concentration and by the looks of the remainder still running up hill, they both made great time.👏🏻👏🏻
We on the other hand had an incoming tide,🌊 the wind 🌬️ had picked up and there was still a lot of runners🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻 still to come.
Heavy rain poured as we got changed after our Aqua class , but it was and always is such a rewarding and beneficial time spent in the sea with those ...as with all my classes...I love and care about, as I am always hoping to help give everyone a beneficial experience, something that will help them even in the smallest way, either in mind or body, or both🤗
As I always tell you, keep your heart up and look out, look up and see, 👀 as even on the worst of days there is always something no matter how little, that can make you smile,🙂 or feel a little warmer, or just remember 😔a moment in time when life was different, remembering always that tomorrow is another day.
We have to live in hope that it will be, if not better then at least a day that we can still manage what we have been given to cope or deal with.🫂
Enjoy the rest of your day and sending you all lots of love and kind thoughts!🫂❤️🙏🏻

Life Post🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻
I had just arrived at the slipway and these two lovely ladies were out walking their lovely dogs and they stopped to chat.
One of their lovely labs dropped his ball down the slipway and I kicked it back up again for him a number of times before it got caught in the seaweed in the sea!
Judith said she had just had surgery and that took our chat to the importance of Pilates and me being me, of course I took the chance and taught her some simple, but extremely effective things that she could do to help strengthen things for her, I ran through a great breathing technique with her and the simplicity of a particular way to switch on her deep abdominal muscles, that she can do any where, whether sitting, standing or lying down.
It was wonderful as she was so receptive and smiled when she genuinely got what I was telling her.
I might add this was all going on while I was standing in my swimsuit.🙂
When I realised the doggies ball had fallen into the water and her partner was lying on her belly on the slipway😱 behind me, trying to get the dogs ball, I offered to go and get it.
They were such a lovely couple, down visiting one of their mum's, I think she said!
As I was standing in the water with the dogs ball, Judith said over the hand rail
"Something's are just meant to happen, I must have been meant to meet you".
I thanked her and told her it was a lovely thing to say.
I gave them back the dogs ball, they thanked me for getting it for them and as I headed into the sea Judith asked if I would like a picture taken of myself going into the sea?
Yes I said that would be nice as it's usually just the class pic that is taken and I laughed as I told her I wasn't photogenic.🫣
I gave her a hug goodbye 🫂 as we parted!
I didn't know after the initial photo she had taken of me facing her, what she had taken and she just said she would leave my phone back in my coat!
I just checked my phone at the start of this post and she had taken a photos of me heading into the deep and added a photo of them both together.
Such a beautiful thought.🤗
You know🤗 sometimes in life you just meet someone that makes a moment really special and they were it!
I was up to my neck in the sea 🌊 when I heard them toot their horn, as they drove off I could see 👀 their arms waving out the window🪟 to me.
It was just a special meeting!
Probably without them ever knowing,
they gave my morning such a lift, two beautiful human beings and as I looked out to the horizon to continue my workout I just smiled and was thankful for such a wonderful experience!
It just doesn't happen everyday!🤷🏻
It was a shared moment in time!
I thought 🤔I would also share the start of a beautiful sunset 🌆 I watch last night over Belfast lough.
Take care everyone and have a nice evening and I hope you meet someone that makes your heart smile very soon.❤️

Hi everyone 👋🏻
What a great day of classes yesterday, hard work, smiles and chatter!
Beautiful people.👏🏻🫂
When I look👀 across the rooms and spaces I teach in, I am so round of the community we have built together.🫂No one is ever left out, It's what I hoped for when I started teaching my classes, that no one would ever feel they couldn't come to a class of mine alone.🙏🏻What an amazing skyline this morning 🌅 it just gladens the heart.❤️
When the sky is so clear and blue you really get to see🙈 just how many cross above us on their flight ✈️ path.
Always remember guys no matter how life weighs heavy on our shoulders at times.... and for some of us for long times..... try and look up, look out, a smile, a touch, a breeze, bird 🕊️ song, the wings of the bird in flight anything that just helps to remind you to hang on in there, don't give up and hopefully you can remember their is a horizon beyond and tomorrow is another day! 🌅 🙏🏻
Always here if you need a chat, a shoulder or just to know you are not alone.
Sending you much love today and always.🫂🙏🏻❤️
Have a good day and breathe!🫁

Hello👋🏻 👋🏻👋🏻
Well it was excellent.
Bombay aloo was the potato 🥔 dish I forgot!🙂
The lamb was so tender and lamb can be fatty and tough when ordering out in my experience so I usually wouldn't order it when eating out, although I love it, but I wasn't disppointed,
Deshi Bites Catering it was lovely.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Everything was great and you also get 2 Pilau rice all for the grand total of £25, which I think is great value.
The chef is always willing to add to or change a dish if you require something specific that you like, so just can't be bad to that.
If you try their food, I hope you enjoy.
Personally speaking it's the best Indian I have eaten from locally in a while.
Enjoy!xx🙋🏻

Our Story

I am a qualified PILATES & FREESTYLE Group Exercise instructor and teaching for over 20 years has thrown up many misconceptions surrounding the discipline; that Pilates is easy, only for women or for older people, only a stretching class and only for those with back problems and other related issues.

This could not be further from the truth. It is my belief that anyone can benefit from Pilates, it places emphasis on working the abdominal core, strengthening the body from the inside out. It enhances movement and flexibility and can help improve quality of life. It can be as gentle or as challenging as you wish.

While Pilates is a fantastic way of strengthening the core, it is also an effective and holistic full-body workout. Pilates is suitable for all ages and experience levels.

Participants in all classes are encouraged to work at their own pace and movements can be modified to allow them to work for everyone. If you've never considered a class before, or find yourself sitting on the fence, consider this your push. There has never been a better time to experience Pilates and discover what it could do for you.
