Heddiw, mynychodd ein Hunan-Eiriolwyr, Victoria a Jac, gyfarfod ar-lein Cyngor Cenedlaethol Pobl yn Gyntaf Cymru Gyfan ar ran ein cynrychiolydd Cyngor Cenedlaethol a chyd-Eiriolwr Hunan, Tracy Austin.
Dyma'r tro cyntaf erioed i Jac fynychu cyfarfod y Cyngor Cenedlaethol a chafodd groeso cynnes gan bawb a oedd yn rhan ohono.
Cafwyd llawer o drafodaeth ddiddorol, ac ymunodd rhai gwesteion â ni.
Today our Self Advocates, Victoria and Jac attended the online meeting of All Wales People First’s National Council on behalf of our National Council rep and fellow Self Advocate, Tracy Austin.
This was Jac’s very first time attending the National Council meeting and he was made to feel very welcome by all involved.
Lots of interesting discussion took place, and we were joined by some guests.
Was lovely to attend the first National Council meeting of 2026 on Zoom today. Amongst the usual agenda items we had Chloe Cannon talking about her involvement as AWPF representative on Cardiff University’s ‘CARE’ Lived Experience Collective. She was joined by her colleague at CARE Alice Butler.
CARE is the national workforce development for social care and early years in Wales. Chloe represents the views of people with learning disabilities on the Lived Experience Collective. This helps to identify important research that needs to be undertaken to improve social care and early years for people in Wales.
Members were also updated on plans for AdFest 2026, designed by a National Council planning sub-group.
And members were given feedback from members' input into the Disabled People’s Rights plan consultation and Direct payment consultation submitted by AWPF on members behalf.
Thanks so much to all members for your hard work today.
