I hope that everyone is well, staying safe and getting on as best as they can during these strange and challenging times.

We’ve been trying to keep the small people occupied and cheery this week (tricky at times - Week 4 has been a toughy!) with positive tasks and crafting ourselves happy.

Here’s our prototype miniature handmade fold-in card model of our friend’s cottage, across The Street. Not perfect but made with love and care. A lesson in detail, patience and observation, a spot of engineering with a needle felted rainbow thrown in for good measure (obviously!).

It was nice to dust off the felting needles again and make in miniature with my willing minions. Card supplies permitting, we may start working our way down the road!

Now the prototype is complete, at a grand 12cm tall, we’re gifting it to the lovely occupant of the full-sized version in 24 hours (gloved and complying with SD rules) 🏠 🌈 ❤️

I really enjoyed a lovely wreath making workshop at Blooming Green today. Everything used was grown on-site, you get to weave your own willow base, PYO foliage and the tuition and refreshments were amazing.
‘Thoroughly recommend it to all Kent-based folk! (if you book on a remaining session this year then the juniper bush is considerably more naked than when I found it! 😁).

The result of the rest of yesterday’s rainy day activities with my little girl...

We spotted lots of fly agarics on a walk on Sunday so, suitably inspired, decided to create our own toadstool home filled with French lavender for extra ‘aaaahhhh!’

I haven’t done blanket stitch since I was a Brownie Guide so I was pleased it all came back, MANY years on!

I’ve lost my crafting mojo for a little while now but it’s slowly starting to return and is much-needed as a pleasant distraction.
Here’s a rainy day door wreath I’ve quickly rustled up today to brighten up a soggy half-term Monday 🌧🌧🌧

There are only a few stall spaces left for our village fête next month. Very well priced pitches, in a lovely village location, are available to sell goods or promote a business. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in this well-attended community event, show your wares, meet new people and spread the word about what you do.

For a number of reasons, I have had to take a break from felting so far this year. ‘Happy to return to it this week to complete a commission for a Mother’s Day gift. I love the happy accident of the finished product coordinating perfectly with my business cards! ❤️
