Co2 laser has finally come to clinic and had my first treatment on Monday ⚡️

Co2 is often called the gold standard of lasers and there’s a reason. It doesn’t just sit on the surface. It creates controlled micro-injury deep in the skin, triggering powerful regeneration, collagen remodelling and true skin renewal. It’s in a completely different category to standard resurfacing lasers.

I opted for a lighter setting for my first session. Day 1–2 I felt warm and a bit pink, but honestly the downtime has been minimal and very manageable. I’m taking daily photos and I’ll share my recovery and results with you over the next few days so you can see the real process. 🤓

These are identical twins… who made very different hormonal health choices.

Twin B (on the right) used hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for over two decades longer than her sister on the left.

When assessed, the perceived age gap between them was 7.25 years - with Twin B appearing significantly younger.

Why?

Oestrogen plays a major role in skin hydration, elasticity and collagen support. Research shows that women who used HRT or oral contraceptives often appeared younger, largely due to oestrogen’s protective effects on the skin.

As oestrogen naturally declines through menopause, HRT may help soften some of the visible signs of ageing.
