Match Day Magic ⚽

We had a fun-filled weekend as Hadley Football Club dedicated their match to Noah’s Ark as their Charity of the Year.

The day was full of community spirit. We joined volunteers from the club to hold a collection and raise as much money as possible, thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended.

In addition to the fundraising, Luca, a young football fan supported by Noah's Ark, enjoyed a full VIP matchday experience as the team mascot for the day. He received his Hadley FC merchandise, proudly walked onto the pitch, and had the chance to meet the players.

A huge thank you to Hadley FC for their continued support and for helping make Saturday's game such an unforgettable experience.

A day in the life of a Music Therapist at Noah’s Ark ❤️

Meet Allya, who takes us behind the scenes for World Music Therapy Week to share a glimpse into her day.

This video captures some of the fun, more playful moments that music therapy can bring. At other times, the work can be slower and gentler, reflecting the sensitive and ever-changing nature of a hospice - using music as a way to reflect and remember. Each moment holds its own importance.

Every moment, however, is one Allya feels truly privileged to be part of.

We’re still buzzing after an incredible race weekend, with some of our amazing Noah’s Ark runners taking on the iconic Brighton Marathon Weekend, London Landmarks Half Marathon and Paris Marathon.

It was made even more special by the fact that many of our runners had visited The Ark in the weeks leading up to race day, seeing first-hand the impact their fundraising is having on the children and families we support.

A huge thank you to everyone who ran, supported, donated, and cheered along the way❤️

Happy National Siblings Day! 🌻

We’re celebrating the incredible siblings in our Noah’s Ark community. Brothers and sisters of children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions often take on unique roles within their families, developing empathy, resilience, and understanding from a young age.

At Noah’s Ark, we are dedicated to supporting siblings as individuals in their own right. We create safe spaces where they can connect with others who share similar experiences, express themselves, and have their voices heard.

On National Siblings Day, we celebrate their special bonds and the extraordinary young people they are. 💛

Our bereavement groups offer families a gentle space to come together after the death of a child ❤️

With the support of our Therapies and Play teams, and our bereavement-trained volunteers, we provide a range of activities for siblings, parents and grandparents - all shaped by what families tell us they need.

One of these is Creative Fridays, led by Eleanor, our Art Therapist. Parents explore art materials and create personal, meaningful keepsakes. Many say it’s not just the creative time they enjoy, but the comfort of being alongside other bereaved parents.

“Being around other parents who share similar experiences helps me to feel like I’m not alone.”

A special place to remember a child. ❤️

Located in our beautiful 7.5-acre nature reserve at The Ark, our Butterfly Woodland Walk is full of colourful butterflies designed and created by artist Paul Cox.

Each one has a tag attached, inscribed with a message celebrating and honouring a child who has died. A gift from Noah’s Ark, funded by charity Ripples of Compassion Charitable Trust, the butterflies are a way for families to remember their child and celebrate their life. 🦋

"When I put the butterfly in the ground, two white butterflies came from somewhere and they just fluttered up and away. It was such a surreal and beautiful moment.”

Noah’s Ark on Holiday is officially open for the 2026 season! 🌞🏖️

Each year, around 60 families enjoy a week-long, free stay in one of our two holiday lodges, set in the beautiful Essex countryside. Each accessible lodge includes specialist features such as medical profiling beds, wet rooms, shower chairs and hoists, making it possible for families to relax and spend quality time together.

For many families supported by Noah’s Ark, this is their very first opportunity to experience a holiday together as a family. 💛

We've loved receiving photos and feedback from families enjoying their stay, including Poppy's, who recently celebrated her tenth birthday at the lodge!

Navigating the complex world of health and social care can be challenging. That’s where our award-winning Family Link Team steps in, offering guidance, advocacy, moral support, and someone families can talk to.

We are the only hospice that assigns a dedicated Family Link worker to each family from the moment of referral. Our team takes care of the ‘thinking’ and the ‘doing,’ so families can focus on the ‘being’ and the ‘feeling.’

We’re so proud to celebrate Montell, one of the young people we support at Noah’s Ark, for being awarded a Jack Petchey Achievement Award. 🏆

The Jack Petchey Foundation Awards recognise young people who have gone above and beyond to achieve their goals, whether it be through academic excellence, personal triumphs, or team efforts. Nominated by their peers, the awards celebrate those who inspire the people around them - and Montell is a shining example.

Jo, Family Link Team Manager, said:
“Childhood is so short and precious. During this time, schools make such an imprint on a child’s life. Montell is an inspirational child, who overcomes the obstacles he faces with such spirit and lightens a room with his smile.
