Our Parent Group had a lovely time getting stuck into our herb planting workshop recently 🌿

Parents planted their own herbs, picked up simple tips for caring for them at home, and created beautiful mini herb gardens to take away.

We loved seeing everyone’s creativity flourish, and now they can enjoy fresh herbs at home every day ❤️

Montell and Specialist Carer Sophie recently spent some time in our hydrotherapy pool, and it’s safe to say there were lots of smiles and splashes all round ❤️

Our hydrotherapy pool is a calming, accessible space for children and families to enjoy together. It offers relaxation, sensory stimulation and plenty of fun in a safe and supportive environment.

Three years ago, Feed London asked us a simple question: “What do you need?”

Since then, their support has become a lifeline for many of the families we support across London who are caring for children who are seriously unwell.

Through tailored food parcels, supermarket vouchers and emergency crisis support, families have received practical help at times of overwhelming pressure - from support with food and energy costs to urgent help during unexpected financial crises.

What has made this partnership so impactful is the compassion, trust and responsiveness shown throughout.

From the RHS - Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show to The Ark 🌿

We can’t quite believe it’s been a year since the award-winning C6 Container Garden, designed by Joshua Fenton, found its new home here at Noah’s Ark.

Originally unveiled at the world’s most famous flower show, the garden has spent the last year providing a peaceful and reflective space for children, families, and staff to enjoy moments of calm and connection with nature.

It has become such a special part of The Ark - growing, flourishing, and bringing joy to so many people who spend time here. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to Fenton Gardens and to our wonderful partners at Navium Marine Limited and the Fidelis Partnership for helping make this beautiful space possible.

A Day Full of Magic 🪄

Magic filled every corner of The Ark at our latest Family Day.

Families stepped into a world of wonder, enjoying activities from making enchantment cards and magic wands to creating potions, exploring messy play and chasing bubbles. A magician kept everyone entertained with tricks and surprises, and a chocolate fountain added an extra touch of delight.

A huge thank you to our Family Activities Team for bringing families together to enjoy something truly magical.

Back by popular demand… Mosaics and Music 🥁

Returning during Mental Health Awareness Week, the first session was such a hit with our team that we were excited to bring it back again.

At Noah’s Ark, we’re always looking for ways to prioritise staff wellbeing, and often the best ideas come directly from our team.

Art Therapist Eleanor and Music Therapist Allya came together to create a space for the team to pause, switch off, and get creative. Staff were invited to design their own mosaic while listening to a playlist of their favourite songs.

It was a calm, creative afternoon with plenty of focus, conversation, and some brilliant mosaics taking shape along the way.

Celebrating ♥️

Today, we join people around the world in recognising and celebrating the incredible dedication, compassion, and impact of nurses everywhere.

We are so grateful for our amazing team of Nurses and Specialist Carers, who show up every single day with kindness, empathy, and a real commitment to those in their care. Your dedication continues to inspire us all, and the difference you make each day never goes unnoticed.

As a small token of our thanks, we welcomed Reflexologist Mary to The Ark, where she generously volunteered her time and expertise to provide our Nurses with one-to-one reflexology sessions. As a full-time Nurse herself, it made the experience even more meaningful.

Not only did she share her wonderful skills, but she also transformed one of our family bedrooms into a calming and relaxing space, complete with thoughtful touches, signs, and cakes for everyone to enjoy.

From all of us, thank you to nurses everywhere for everything you do.
