Senquility Body Therapy

Senquility Body Therapy Lymphatic Drainage Specialist supporting people who feel heavy, tense, or overwhelmed in their bodies.

I share calm, grounded insights about stress and the lymphatic system, especially for bodies that feel misunderstood.

This is why you still feel tense, even when you rest

A lot of people say to me,

“I try to relax… but my body just doesn’t switch off.”

You sit down.
You stop.
But your shoulders are still tight.
Your breathing is still a bit shallow.

That’s because it’s not just about rest.

It’s about the nervous system.

If your body has been in “on” mode for too long, it doesn’t instantly settle just because you’ve stopped moving.

It takes a bit more than that.

It needs the right conditions to feel safe enough to let go.

That’s when things start to shift.

The sun’s out and it finally feels like spring has arrived.

Sundays always feel like a bit of a reset for me.

I try to do at least one thing I love, nothing big, just something that feels good and helps me slow down a bit.

A walk.
A quiet coffee.
Time outside.

It’s usually the small things that help the body settle the most.

We spend so much of the week pushing through, holding things together, staying “on”.

Having even a short moment where you don’t have to do that makes a difference.

If you get the chance today, do one thing that feels good for you.

Your body will thank you for it.

🌿 It’s the spring equinox today.

The light’s changing. The air feels different. Everything’s starting to move again a little.

Days like this are a good reminder that the body likes movement too.

Nothing intense. Just walking.

The lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like the heart, it relies on movement, breath, and gentle rhythm.

A simple walk, especially in fresh air like today, can help things start to shift.

Not just physically, but mentally too.

Sometimes it’s not about doing more.

It’s just about getting outside, moving a little, and letting the body catch up.

🌿 I don’t really see this work as a “treat”.

Most of the people I see aren’t coming in for pampering.

They’re coming in because their body doesn’t feel right.

Tight.
Heavy.
On edge for no clear reason.

Sleep isn’t great.
Shoulders don’t drop.
They can’t fully relax, even when they try.

That’s not something a hot bath or an early night always fixes.

It’s usually a nervous system that’s been under pressure for too long.

Manual lymphatic drainage is gentle, but it gives the body something it often hasn’t had in a while

A chance to settle.

And when that happens, everything else starts to shift.

Some days your body just doesn’t feel right.

You can’t quite put your finger on it.

You’re not ill.
But you feel heavy.
A bit tense.
A bit on edge.

Your shoulders feel tight.
Your body feels like it’s holding something.
And you can’t fully relax, even when you try.

I see this a lot.

It’s usually a nervous system that hasn’t had a proper chance to switch off.

When that settles, everything else starts to feel different.

Lighter.
Calmer.
More like yourself again.

If this is you, I’ve got some availability coming up.

🌿 A question I get asked a lot…

“Can I have MLD if I’ve had lymph nodes removed?”

Short answer: yes, but it needs to be done properly.

When lymph nodes have been removed (for example after cancer treatment), the way fluid moves through the body changes.

That doesn’t mean MLD isn’t suitable, in fact, it can be really helpful.

But it does mean treatment needs to be:
• adapted
• gentle
• and done with an understanding of the lymphatic pathways

The goal isn’t to push fluid through the body.
It’s to support the areas that are still working well, and gently encourage flow in a safe way.

I always take a full history and adapt treatment to the individual, because no two bodies are the same.

If you’ve ever been unsure about whether MLD is right for you after surgery, you’re always welcome to ask.

A quick body check for a Monday.

Where are your shoulders right now?

Are they relaxed or slightly creeping up?

Most of us start the week already holding a bit of tension without realising it.

Emails, plans, thinking about the week ahead,
the body quietly bracing while the mind gets organised.

Just take a moment now and let your shoulders drop.

One slower breath.

Sometimes the body just needs a small reminder that it doesn’t have to hold everything.

14/03/2026

The sun’s out today and it actually feels like spring.

If you’re a mum, there’s a good chance you’re still doing all the usual things today, sorting, organising, thinking about everyone else.

So here’s a small reminder the day before Mother’s Day.

Your body carries a lot.

The thinking.
The organising.
The emotional load that nobody really sees.

Sometimes the best thing you can give your body is a proper pause.

A moment where your shoulders drop, your breathing slows, and you don’t have to hold everything for a while.

If you’re a mum reading this, I hope you get a bit of that tomorrow.

You deserve it 💚

It’s Friday.

And if you’re anything like a lot of the people I see, your body has probably been holding a lot this week.

Shoulders creeping up.
Jaw a bit tight.
Feeling tired but still slightly wired.

Most of us don’t notice it happening, we just get on with things.

Sometimes the body just needs a moment to stop bracing.

So if you’re reading this, let your shoulders drop for a second and take a proper breath.

Your body might have needed that.

Something I notice a lot in my work…

Many people aren’t just tired — their nervous systems are exhausted.

Shoulders that never quite drop.
Breathing that stays high in the chest.
Feeling wired, but also completely drained.

Often the body has been in “coping mode” for a long time.

What it needs isn’t more pressure or pushing through.

It needs a moment where it finally feels safe enough to stop bracing.

That’s one of the reasons I work with manual lymphatic drainage.
It’s very gentle, but it gives the nervous system space to settle.

Quick check — where are your shoulders right now?

🌿 What people often notice after their first MLD session

Manual lymphatic drainage is very gentle, so people are often surprised by how much they feel afterwards.

Some of the things clients say are:

• they feel lighter
• more in tune with their body
• a sense of feeling whole again
• calmer and more settled
• they sleep better that night
• they feel well rested and more energised for the next few days

It’s not about forcing the body to change.

It’s about giving the nervous system the right environment to stop bracing for a while.

That’s often when the body starts to reset.

If you’ve been curious about MLD or wondering whether it might help you, you’re always welcome to get in touch.

Does your body feel like this lately?

1️⃣ Your shoulders are tight even when you try to relax them.

2️⃣ Your jaw feels clenched without you noticing.

3️⃣ You’re tired, but your body never fully settles.

I see this a lot with people whose nervous systems have been “on” for too long.

Sometimes the body just needs a safe environment to stop bracing.

Gentle lymphatic drainage can help the body soften and reset.

I have some availability before easter if your body could use some support.
