At Clarity, we believe passionately that everyone should have the opportunity to access mental health support. Our vision is for a mental health and counselling service dedicated to improving everyone’s day to day life … for life. We are developing Danny’s Line as a su***de prevention and support service to fill the gaps we have identified in the services available locally. It is our intention to collaborate with, rather than replace or compete with any other statutory or voluntary sector service in North Devon, to ensure that that no-one feels they have no-where to turn. Danny’s Line will allow access to a qualified and experienced counsellor at the end of the phone between 5pm and midnight, 7 days a week. Blue-light services are able to contact us direct, or pass on our number to people at risk of taking their own lives, or their parents, carers or next of kin. Our counsellors will provide telephone support when it is most needed. Anyone who contacts Danny’s Line will then receive a follow-up call the next morning by the office based team at Clarity, and fast tracked into our counselling service. We will work with other providers in North Devon to ensure everyone receives the most appropriate support. Clarity is a registered charity, and all of our income is raised through grants and donations. To ensure our service is accessible to those who most need it, we do not charge for our support, though we do encourage donations from those who can afford it. No-one is ever turned away from Clarity because they cannot afford help with their mental health.
