Today’s the day 🧡💙

Our Hwb Community Walk & Talk is happening this afternoon, and you’re more than welcome to join us.

📍 Meet: Inside the Health Hwb
⏰ Arrive from: 2:00pm
🚶 We set off: 2:30pm

🗺️ The route:
• From the Hwb on High Street
• Easy walk down towards Barry Island
• Midway coffee stop at Marco’s Café ☕
• Then a relaxed walk back to the Hwb together

No pressure. No pace. No expectations.
Just fresh air, movement, and good people.

Honestly… what a moment 🧡💙

Tonight was a special one at the Hwb as we welcomed the Thomas family, three brothers and the main man himself, Dad Billy Thomas (pictured second from the left in the Sauna).

Billy is now officially the oldest member to enter the Hwb, at the incredible age of 82 🙌
And he didn’t just take part… he absolutely bossed it.
Traditional sauna ✔️
Infrared sauna ✔️
Ice bath ✔️
Straight in. No hesitation. Fully committed.

What really made this moment special was seeing a family come together in a different way. Not sat around a table, not watching from the sidelines, but sharing an experience, encouraging one another, laughing, and creating memories side by side. Different generations, all in it together.

Billy was a breath of fresh air full of life, up for everything, and quietly reminding us all that age is just a number.

This is exactly what the Hwb is about.

Early session in today with Darren & Nino popping in and trying out our pressotherapy boots, calm, quiet and exactly what the body needs to switch off and reset.

We’re always listening to the community and bringing in things that support real people, whatever that looks like for you, whether you’re active, busy, tired, or just in need of some time for yourself.

The Hwb isn’t about pushing harder.

Just a little reminder that our very first Hwb Walk & Talk is happening this Monday, 9th February 🧡💙

📍 Meeting point: Inside the Health Hwb
⏰ Meet: 2:15pm | Set off: 2:30pm

This will be a light, relaxed walk from the Hwb on High Street down to Barry Island, with a halfway pit stop at Marco’s Café for a cuppa ☕️ before heading back to the Hwb together.

No pressure. No pace. No expectations.

Just walking, talking, fresh air, and connection.

Absolutely everyone is welcome, this is a community walk and we’d love as many people involved as possible.

We’re proud to support Recovery Cymru, who are with us at the Hwb every Tuesday supporting people right across the Vale.

Today was a perfect reminder of what it’s all about a game of pontoon, plenty of laughs, and some proper, down-to-earth conversation.

Recovery Cymru support people affected by addiction or those in recovery by offering a safe, non-judgemental space to talk, be listened to, and feel supported. They provide one-to-one support, guidance, and signposting all at a pace that feels right for the individual.

If you feel you could benefit from their support, please feel free to pop in.

No pressure. No expectations. No judgement.

Just a welcoming space and people who genuinely care.
